LOL! I play with woman keyboardist... she just hates forums... She pretty much uses a 88 key as a controller for everything...

Just because its cheap ( and short ) does'nt mean its bad.

Think Moog are going to ensnare the younger guys/gals with this one - and there's nothing wrong with that!
and with MIDI, just hook it up to your master keyboard!

See and that is the main reason I like this whole idea. One of these or a minibrute + beatmachine and a looper and you could have a rig that fit [sort'a] in a backpack that would kill DJs

@ Sir nose, Alot of really great synth women here in the Pacific North West.

I'd sold a wee Jen SX1000 to a girl here in the UK, Holly Lerski,she'd sent me her CD, and wanted to incorporate synths..that CD is still one of my favourite all timers! I've expanded my musical repetiore as i've grown older - sure synths still play a big part. But the whole point is synths can be used in any musical style,by anyone (male of female.) does'nt matter, if girls make good music,then I'll listen! And from a retail perspective, their cash is as good as anyone's!

@mudfuzz- yeah we have two girls on synths including me in my group of 7 (another friend of mine does vocals, but not often). Whoever thinks girls don't like synths doesn't know what he's talking about - whatever. Like your friend I just don't go on forums often. What kind of music u make?

Laurie Anderson rawks! (Didn't joy division / new order also have a girl on synths back in the day?) Cocteau twins too.

Other women in electronic music are members of sneaker pimps, yelle, passion pit, yeah yeah yeahs, ladytron, and I went to a show in Miami where a girl was playing a Moog source - that was hot!

Sorry, but 25 keys is not enough for me.
If your playing is such that it is sufficient, that is cool but you know what? You could still limit yourself to 2 octaves even if the keyboard had 3.
If having them there is visually confusing, you could use construction paper and fold a nice little cover hiding an octave.

Defend it all you want but it is a weakness requiring excuses and being defended. If it had 3 octaves, this conversation wouldn't be happening. No one would be posting "damnit...why so many keys??? "

For me 2 octaves is a big disappointment. I think I might have even preferred 3 octaves of mini keys ....and I HATE mini keys.
If they are stuck on imitating the minibrute's range, I wish they would then offer a couple versions, one with 25 and one with 3 octaves or so. Or one with no keyboard at all - a slim-sub-phatty!
