Got my LP last night. Beautiful, flawless. Doubled-boxed, arrived safely. I didn't have much time to play it last night, but I did get through all the presets, and clearly there is some sonic magic in that machine. Some of those dirty sub-basses are absolutely obscene and will probably be banned in Utah and several southern states. I saw somebody said it's built like a tank, and I would have to agree. Very solid, exudes quality. The overdrive is such an excellent feature I almost feel sympathy for my Voyager for not having it. Poor thing. I really would like to have aftertouch, but oh well. The way you can set the LP so that when you grab and turn a knob it smoothly "catches up" with the original setting is fantastic. The interface is very friendly, very easy to navigate, and the big illuminated buttons make it easy to identify in a split second what parameter you're set to modify. There are some really cool presets (and of course the inevitable clunkers), some of which I never would have thought of (and will probably have to analyze to figure out how they work). Despite its friendly moniker, this is one bad mofo.
Well done, Moog. Bob would be proud.

UPS called last night, my LP (#93) has made it here to vermont, but cuz of the holiday weekend, I cant get it till tuesday (voices carry).. They also said that the box is in bad shape, they had to tape a corner up because peanuts were coming out....
It is double boxed so hopefully the inside box is good, they thought that should be the case....
long weekend....

Serial# 1XX arrived on Friday. I had it sent overnight due to the holiday weekend here in the States. Plus with all the damage reports I figured there would be less chance of it falling off a truck during its treacherous journey.
So far so good - no issues. Looks gorgeous, solid construction, keyboard has a great feel as do the mod wheels (much improved over the Voyager SE IMHO), and it sounds..well...like a MOOG!
Oh - can't forget about those little input thingies on the side. The LP mates up perfectly with my CP-251, CV pedals, and CV/gate sequencer. :D

Yeah, if you have an LP and don't have an expression pedal, by all means get one (though I imagine most of you do). I had forgotten how much more expressiveness you can get with a pedal controlling the cutoff. I'm planning on picking up a CP-251 in a few weeks. After playing the LP more, I'm definately convinced that the overdrive circuit is what will set it apart from other Moogs. IMO, the distortion is excellent, and can turn kind of ordinary sounds into monsters. I can't stand the vile, screechy distortions on my MS2000 and Supernova, but I'm definately digging the LP's warm distortion. I've had a good time running it through my amp modeller, too. (Digitech Genesis 3, about $70 on ebay- lots of bang for the buck)

I'm listening to the new Art Of Noise Box set watching out the window for the UPS guy to bring my #93 over within the hour! (hopefully its only the outer box that is damaged) . I have my amp, and Expresion pedal all set up and ready!

Got mine this morning!!!!! ....Serial no. 125.
What can i say!!!!
It sounds as good as,if not better than the source. Big, wide, deep and classy. It excels at leads, bass, sfx. A couple of things i didnt realise are a big bonus. Velocity sensitive filter and selectable pole filters!
It really is that good. Everything about it is great, looks feel, and the sound is massive. The overdrive turns it into a monster and lets the LP sound like old moogs like the source and the mini whilst also sounding as great as the voyager does of course for newer sounds.
Congratulations to all at Moog , Bob would be VERY proud!
All the best

I have #108 here in Monterey, CA.
The LP is beautiful and built tough. Love the feel of the buttons.
Sounds like heaven!!! I can get it as gritty and lo-fi as my mini and clean like the voyager. For the price the quality is there.
The outer shipping box was wrecked on mine. The inner LP box was dented in on the bottom. I think there is a conspiracy in UPS to try to smash-up any LP shipping.
I also had the flickering LED problem. Only one, the "16'" octave LED on OSC.1. I left the LP on for 2 hours and it fixed itself.
The LP is defintely it's own synth and should not be considered the little brother of or a cheaper version of the voyager.
LP serial # 120 is here !

Just got mine in....what a long 3 months that was...
It arrived from Fed-X in great condition.
No blinking light problems whatsoever....
You guys are right...the key action is fast.
It is "built like a tank" too.
Only have had the chance to get
to preset 38...but so far so good.
Then had to hit the hay, but
I'll be going through alot of it
later tonight.
Thank You Bob and Staff...Bravo !!

My long-awaited LP made it to Chuck Levins in MD. yesterday, I rescued it immediately. They received 4 (all pre-sold). I have nothing but praise for the fit/finish, operation, features and the beautiful full sound. A beautiful instrument all-around!

FINALLY!! Just got word that my LP is shipping to my local music store this coming Monday. With LUCK it might arrive on Friday. That would give me the whole weekend to play with the little beauty. I will be crawling into my cave and disappearing for a few days once the LP arrives.
