The wheel end of the case had this foam that appeared to be shipping end pieces for the Voyager. The box might have fared better if they used layered corrugated paper that fit around the wheels. They obviously had to improvise since they're not going to ship anywhere near 1000 ATA cases. There's zero damage to my case if that's any consolation.

Mike, just to be clear, do the pedals and case each ship in their own box?

They ship the pedals inside the case if you bought one. And boy am I glad!

Yeah. If I decide to pull the trigger on getting a T3, the case will be part of the deal. There is no way I'd let anyone ship it in anything but the case, after seeing the condition of some of the boxes I've received from UPS!

Ah, but in my case there is. Two separate tracking numbers for two separate boxes. Package #1 = 42 lbs., package #2 = 40 lbs. I'm thinking there was some sort of snafu & my pedals & case were shipped in separate boxes. If this is so, I'll be a little bit p!ssed - part of the reason I sprung for the case up front was to protect the Taurus during shipment. Hopefully I'll see tomorrow. UPS shows my delivery as "on schedule & on time", but no updates since Monday when they were just outside of Chicago - still a long way away from Denver... Moogatory sucks!

Oh and MC - what's that in the second box behind your taurus 3 in your pix? Something from someone other than Moog?

Arrived, but currently nestled in my car in the box - taking it to my "rehearsal space" to open it there.

It was a two piece box. The "second" box you see is the top half of the package.

got UPS tracking...

Scheduled Delivery: 23-February-2010

information states: number of packages 2...weight: 90 lbs

then when I click on the tracking number I get...Multiple packages: 2...Weight 49 lbs

One tracking number, though, with two reference numbers....

I guess I'll find out in a week

Just ti chime in here:

Mine also shipped as two boxes. First box was the peddles (in a labelled Moog box). Second was the case. No damage experienced here. Boxes were in perfect shape. But, my T-shirt was not sent. No worries though as I am sure that Moog will sort that out. Off to play with the pedals some more and scare some small animals...

Tracking says they are now just miles away at the UPS hub - so close! Will FINALLY be playing them by this time tomorrow, & the agonizing 400+ day wait will just be a memory. See you guys on the T-3 micro site...

I have to order that f##$$g ATA case now because of your UPS story!! LOL!!!! At leat my baby wont be hurt.

T-3 # 0028 arrived today. My god, this thing is a beast! The Taurus are well named - everything about them is beefy. The pedals, the case and especially the sound are as heavy as anything I've ever come across. All is now right with the world...
