I STILL like MegaMoog, regardless of what synth it's based upon.

I can't help but agree. Anything to bury the "Phatty" name. Nothing says "1990s" like any moniker derived from the word "phat".

I've only recently become able to utter the name "little phatty" with a straight face, and it's like the coolest thing ever! ah well. it is indeed phat. :)

I just say Phatty because Little Phatty sounds perverse.

If DSI can come out with their new Tetra4, MM will hopefully come up with their own version to be used with the V or LP.

Hmm. It seems that a particular decade is "out" only in the immediately following decade...once the second decade begins, the nostalgia kicks in...so, I'd say we're about due for lots of "phatness" in the near future....

So, my clothes will be in style again? Cool! "Phat" just needs to die, though. That's one part of the '90's I can do without. The only reason I bought the LP was because it was in my price range, and I've always wanted a Moog. I hated the name, but at least the name wasn't in graffiti style, or else I wouldn't have bought the synth at all! The classiness of it was a big deciding factor in my purchase of it. I would NOT buy a Moog polysynth with any variation of "phat" in the name.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. Mine differs.

Yeah, the phat moniker tends to make me think rap or ghetto. Not something that would help me open my wallet for an expensive item.

Not me. Honestly, it doesn't make me think of anything other than a tongue in cheek name. Don't take it so seriously.

After a fine day of tagging condemned supermarkets, I enjoy a good Brandenburg concerto, "Switched On" style....know what I'm sayin'?
