When I bought my TE, the thought never occured to me that it might change and evolve over time. I based my decision soley on the fact that it is a collector's piece and a "tribute" to Mr. Moog. Period. You expect bugs to be fixed, but upgrades? I bought it because of what it was, not because of what it was going to become.I'd still love it even if it was the same as when I opened the box. These upgrades are a bonus, not expectations.
I see the stage as a whole different instrument. If you like the features of it better than the TE, then that's the one you need to get. The fact is, they are not the same instrument.
I can't help but wonder the age of some of the people on this forum. They probably never had the chance to buy a new $3900.00 Prophet 5 Rev. 3, only to have the 3.2 released a few months later.
