I don't think that would void your warranty, but Im glad that this is something that seems to be user fixable.

Thanks alot, Eric. That info would have been helpful *before* playing my Voyager after letting it warm up for a meager 42 mins 37 seconds and watcing it burst into flames before my very eyes... *sob*

Hows that Voyager/Rhodes combo working out?

I grew up with one of those in my house Micro/Rhodes, and my father recently gave me his blessing that I can bring the Rhodes to my place.

I've long since taken control of the micro.

My Rhodes is not in the best condition, and have had the misfortune of going through a lot of hassle and lazy technicians to try to get it up and in shape. I'm having a guy over tomorrow who thinks he can straighten it out. It's been really frustrating for me, as I badly want to use it in my songwriting. Someone says they can fix it, but the problem is that everyone who says that happens to be a procrastinating slob, so I currently am using it as a desk. :(

That's ok, Kenneth. I had a lovely (though beat-up) organ once. I was going to fix it myself, but when I started parting it out after months of not being able to fix it, I discovered a cracked circuit board with three broken traces. It now serves as a workbench and parts source.

I can post some pics if you're interested, but I have to warn you: the only camera I have at my disposal is the one on my iPod touch. It's pretty grainy, so I'm a little embarrassed.
