I'll also gladly volunteer for any LP OS testing, assuming that there is no risk of permanently bricking my LP in the process 8)

I have a LP Stage Edition II / OS 2.2? (can't remember the exact version number ATM)

Cheers

All other requested features are working now.

For this one, is it better to send "only MIDI notes" or "only MIDI notes + pitch + mod wheels" ?

Anyone else think this is a useful/needed feature?

Wow! Honestly, I thought asking for something this specific, and actually getting a response was a bit of a shot in the dark. Talk about the best customer service period (forget about just this industry). MIDI notes WITH pitch+mod wheel would be perfect (and if in the end, you find you can't manage it, Amos, I really appreciate the support anyway). Thanks!

Amos - excellent work on the volume velocity! This is going to make the LP so much more expressive.

I have a 3.x OS from 3 or 4 weeks ago loaded and will be glad to test this one as well when you have something.

Very excited for 3.0!

Anybody who's already beta testing OS3 for Little Phatty, download this new hex file:
[deleted] see newer updates later in this thread

Anybody with a Slim Phatty who wants to check the new version, I will post an update today, I promise!

I've worked on this so much in the past few days, there's been no time to slow down and post update instructions, package for both Mac and Windows, etc. Almost there now, really this time... new features 'n all... I'll be calling it v3.1 at this point.

New today: *much* more playable polyphonic note allocation algorithm. Round-robin with no note stealing.
It's fun!

Assuming all goes smoothly, what is the timeline on beta approval and and moving forward with full release?

what????? ROUND ROBIN ??? you mean we can think of having a kind of randomness in the Midi control of the LP parameters!!
that will be too much dope ; terrible! a function that only the Lp got... maybe Amos is Pioneering something???
  :P

yo Amos can u create a function to use the randomness of the sample n hold or any other device to put some kind of randomness in the machine ? !?!
ex ample:
choose a source (amplitude attack for ex ) and put a min and max numbers ... from 0 to 1254 (for ex .)

and after the magic goes the LP variyng the attack randomly everytime i hit a key !!!
i want my machine to be human and come to life ! i have feedback from other users around the net who have the same request!!!

or if not possible PLEAsE, >>> give us the Vst editor and the library editor software for FREE :-))) Universal actions > > > zoom zoom !!!!

djfood, I think you misunderstand a little...

with a sample player, "round robin" gives you a different sample each time you press the same key, which usually introduces a little randomness into the sound.

In the case of the LP, "round robin" note allocation means that if you have 3 LP synths in Poly mode, each key you press will play on the next LP in the chain, repeating in a cycle.

In the old LP poly mode, if you play only one key, it will always/only play the first LP, and you will never hear the other two. This means the one LP will act like a mono synth, and if you have a long release on your notes it will be cut off when you play another note. Round Robin poly note allocation is more like how the Roland Jupiter synths handle poly notes, for example... (as opposed to how the Casio SK1 does it)...

ah but it will still be a terrible thing to have a function to put some randomness in the Midi behaviour every time we hit a note (like i ex plain)
can you visualise an algorythm for the nex t level of the Os maybe the nex t week if u can ???

thanks, im out/§/*ù*^^

Only for people who are already beta-testing OS3. There's no direct way to install this file on an LP running the older operating system. I'm putting together a proper update from OS v2.1 now.

OK, here is the Little Phatty Stage Edition update pack.
This should work for all LP Stage and Stage II synthesizers.

Windows version:
http://seamslikereality.com/moog/LP_Sta ... A2_WIN.zip

Mac version:
http://seamslikereality.com/moog/LP_Sta ... A2_MAC.zip

Please read the README file *completely* before performing the update.

Slim Phatty update also coming soon! Thanx... -Amos
