@Kenneth, I thought I could see an Arp Axxe off to the right of that photo! Nice!
Well here is another pair of Voyagers in the wild. Not mine though, these belong to my friend Chuck playing next to me. There is an RME in the rack and an anniversary edition Voyager he is playing. I'm sitting in front of the old Moog stuff with a '69 Ip and a '74 modded Mini. Fun show!

and then you had to come along and upstage everyone

seriously though that is an amazing set up

Yeah, that was a fun night out at the Gathering Concert Series in Philly on Nov.17.
Charles Cohen opened up the show with his Buchla Music Easle. Someone made the comment that they had never seen so many patch cords on a stage before. There were a lot of them!
Here is Charles doing his amazing set, can see the Voyagers and wall of modular in the background.
Another show tonight!

I was at that show and it WAS magificient! In addition to the Voyager and RME, I spotted Chuck using a Memotron, Oberheim SEM, a pair of DSI Mophos, a Waldorf rack mount, and Doepfer Dark Time (if memory serves correctly).
And Terry, your 'Wall of Synth' Modular was simply a joy to see...
Would love to see you guys down here in the Balt/Washington area for a show sometime!

Wha options are in your Synclavier?
It's sort of the "Tony Banks" setup. Has 16 FM/additive voices, running op system I/R, has dual Morleys. I think the processor is a "B" version. It can playback resynthesis patches, however I do not have the old sampler option to make my own. The sampler option was probably around another $10K back in the day. The setup I have cost over $20K back in 1982 when this one was built.
I get quite a few looks taking this setup out live, as many seasond synth gear heads have only seen photos of these, and never got a close look at one. It does have an unique sound. Just like the old Moog modulars, the oscillators have a range that goes beyond 40kHz.
Hey there CZ, if I might resurrect this topic a bit...
Does your Synclavier require the rackmount CPU part, or is it self-contained in that keyboard? In other words, is the keyboard just a controller?

The Keyboard is just the controller, connected via a 36 pin old computer type connector. There is a large "shoe box" that contains the ABLE computer, along with a 5 1/4" floppy drive to boot from.
A photo of the old Synclavier II along with my Voyager.

And here is the "Shoe Box".

Can see the Voyager and Sync II along with the CPU in this one.

Thanks! That was my old live rig. Little white one would be an Acess Virus Indigo 2.

The "CZ" is from the Casio line of CZ synthesizers, like the very portable CZ-101. I've been known to "Ride" around with my CZ for portable synth fun.

Something about the tone of those Phase Distortion Casios I really like.

Thanks for the info...the shoebox looks crazy heavy! I'm impressed you bring that to shows. If you're using a non-sampler Sync, is there a hard drive? I would be sick worrying that those moving parts would break.
But I've always been super curious about the non-sampler synth engine of the Synclavier.

Hi there,
I would be very interested to know which metal keyboard stand and extension supports in your old rig photo. I have a voyager Xl and i would like to have some modular units placed above it within easy tweakable , just like your system. i have tried search the web for something similar, but to no avail. That stand and extensions would be ideal for my setup.
Best

I'm waiting for the empty HP eurorack and M32 3-tier rack to get this set up properly, but here's where I'm at with my build...
