Nice set-up.

My partner has that DS10, its pretty neat, I want to hear it through something other than those tiny speakers though.

That's basically what I want, plus Taurus and Etherwave Plus, for my full Moog set.

One thing I am thinking - if I use the CV on the Etherwave, can I use that to control the filter on the Moog (or using a mult, various things) and then "bow" my cello within the antenna (perhaps make new antenna?) so I could feed the cello's audio output into the Moog, and then filter it with the bowing position? Or is that a daft idea?

I think you could do that, yeah. THe audio going to the filter and the Voltage going to the cutoff, yeah, but which antenna is the bow? If the volume antenna modulated the cutoff and the pitch was filtered, or both Pitch CV and pitch Audio, just depending on how you liked to do it. You wouldn't necessarily need the volume CV output for that because of the envelope follower in the Filter.

Richard,
I feel like Ive got to have all the Fooges before Ill be happy.

The LPF, Phaser and Murf will be in another rack on the opposite side of my Voyager as a "filter bank". I don't know what the future holds, whether or not Moog will make a cp251 style unit for something else or not. Id like to have another cp251 to even out the way the cabinets look and Id certianly use its features with the 3 other foogers.
Then Im going to have a Moduconics Moog Modular, about 15 modules or so.
Filter, Oscsx3, Noise FIlter, Env Gensx2, vca, Dual trigger delay, envelope follower, S&H, Atten, mults. Maybe a VC Reverb just depends. Im figuring about 8K by the time its all over with if the prices don't go up.

Then Im thinking that Id have to get a dotcom portable 22 cabinet with 2 sequencers and their associated modules and I think as far as my monster synth goes thatll do it.

THen I will have the Taurus, and I want to get a Model D. My next order of business will be to get the Etherwave Upgrade.

I figure that ought to do it, synthwise.

Theres so much more stuff out there, right?

All you need is both Bass Murfs

HOw the heck do you power those?

See, Ive got mine racked. At the bottom of the rack are 2 power strips with 15 foot cords. THen there are 30 foot cords. This way I can plug them up in different rooms. WHen im not using it I unplug them and keep the lid on the rack. I don't own a power conditioner and Theres 2 units per strip. Vx 351 of corse powered by the Voyager and the Module has no power and is functionless.

NEVER underestimate the venerable power strip! You should invest in a couple of Power Squids or similar strips that can handle ALL your gear at once, though. Belkin makes one with rotating outlets that can handle 8 things at once. I've got one. My Square D can hold three 'Fooger wall warts at a time.
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

I went through all that to eliminate the chance for line noise.

Don't remind me, I've been looking. I love the MuRF. I purchased both of mine before the bass model was released.

I really.... I mean really love using my Q Plus to make the dripping angel kissing alien pad sounds and process it through the MuRFs. So good sounding!

Eric
I've done "stuff", though. I just want to get a couple of bits and learn how to use it completely, rather than just keep adding.

How much stuff have I done?

Well...

Roland S50, S550, MC202, TR505, EG-101, MC-303, JP8000, D110, GR300, G-505, GR700, G-707, JD800, SH101, DR-55, TD3KV, GR77b, G-77b, JX10, JV50, D50, D550, PG1000, DEP-5, Juno 6

Alesis Blackface ADAT x2, BRC, LRC, AI2

AlphaSyntauri (61 key with A/T, Apple //e)

BBC/Acorn Hybrid Music System 2000,4000,5000, 500 x 2

Mixers: Spirit M8, Allen & Heath GS1, Mackie 1202VLZ, Behringer MX8000A

Carlsbro and MXR pedals
Atari Falcons
Apple iMac 600, PowerMac G4
Zoom 707MkII and RT123

Hora C110 Student Cello, Kramer Strathead Voyager ('81, rare), Kramer Baretta Infinity Sustainer, Yamaha Pacifica 112, Squier Strat, Encore bass, Laney KC-35 amp... Mac G5 with two monitors and Hammerfall DSP/Multiface... SO much kit.

Here's a snapshot of my old studio:

Image

That's an old one, the guitars aren't all hanging up and the monitors aren't the matched pair of 20" displays I had before I decided to downsize everything... and I think that's my Korg T1, not my second Trinity.

I'll post a pic of my new studio when I've got my guitar stand and CP-251, then it'll be pretty much complete bar my desire to add some foogers and upgrade my very much gigged Pro X V3 with a Korg Triton Extreme 88 or M3 88 (OASYS has lost my attention due to the awful support existing users are getting for the crappy PC hardware it's based on).

I'm much happier with my new setup. The only drawback is that overpriced or not I think I want the CC121 controller for Cubase. It just makes it SO easy - I have a footswitch under the synth beside the damper and expression pedal, and if I'm happy and noodling, "tap", and it sets off recording. Love it.

Hey, care to share your power supply design? I had a 5 amp transformer a while back regulated through 4 or 5 LM309s, but it buzzed a lot.
