You might want to try to call and find out something if you haven't already.

Just spoke with Siobhan, and she said my Taurus are going to be shipped this week! Counting days now - I'll be playing them in less than 12 days....

Siobhan also told me my T3 would be shipped this week.

I've been checking my CC balance by the day to see when they got on the big brown truck.

Mike, congratulations! We should get emails & tracking numbers later this week on the day they ship, and our CCs will be billed that same day. Btw, did you write any of the T-3 presets? How were you lucky enough to get to sit in on the critical listening tests? I'll bet those were your T-1s used for the side-by-side tests...

Yup, I made some of the presets - Paranoid Pedal, Angry Bass, Oomga Mooga, Abyss Bass, HighRezzLead, OctavePedalBass, Pow Bass. I drew from the T1, Source, and Memorymoog to make those sounds.

Moog requested my expert opinion on the T3 because I know so much about the T1. I felt quite privileged for that invitation. I did sound design for the Andromeda and have a pretty good ear for details - one of the A6 sounds I did was the Taurus preset on the T1. Besides the side-by-side audible tests, I asked Cyril questions about the circuits that are responsible for the Taurus beef - and he did duplicate the critical details.

They asked me to bring my T1. They had a T1 there for development but mine were near mint and 100% functional (expect for the tuning pot that went whacko during the drive down there). They needed a few corrections for the T3, but the bulk of the sound was there. The T1 you see in the studio are my set.

Moog will be in good hands with Cyril and Amos.

Thats very interesting, MC.

It is stories like this that show us that this is Moog history in the making again, and that the need for a modern Moog archives is apparent.

BTW I don't know what the "Taurus III" preset is - they didn't have that when I was down there.

Got my UPS email this afternoon: delivery on the 10th! But...... we got 30 inches of snow in Baltimore Fri/Sat and are expecting 10-20 more Tues/Wed. Looks like I'll be snowed-in reading the manual while my T3 waits on a truck somewhere. :(

93 pounds!

Mike, thank you for sharing your story here, and thank you for your contribution in resurrecting one of the baddest synths of all time! I do think it will be a bit strange when mine finally arrive, as I'll go from checking the Forums 4 times a day, to 4 times a year. That is, until I hear that Moog is working on the MMMM (Modern Memory Moog Monster), Hmm, better start saving now...

Damn, you may beat me. Although the status hasn't been updated since the 5th, UPS still reports mine as on schedule for Friday.

They are all underrated ebay scores! Not even in the synthesizer category.....stupid sellers. Not even Roger Luther knows about these puppies they are so rare!

For God's sake, Eric! Moog is also an automotive company's name! Their sticker is on the corner bumper of almost all NASCAR's. But WTH is a brushless PWM controller?
