I have a load of vintage stuff going . . . OB-8, Polysix, Opus3, and a load of vintage digital rack stuff like Kawai K5000R, Technics WSA1R, Alesis S4+ etc, too much to list (outboard, mixers etc) . . emigrating to the States . . . Just taking my PPG 2.3, Chroma, Voyager SE and RMS Model D (and a BIG G5 mac full of VST's).
Email me if you want prices - collection from South London (UK) only on the heavy Vintage stuff.

Hi all
Ok, I'll list what I know here so that I don't have to type it all out - thanks for the interest.
This stuff is really in showroom/collectors condition so if anyone is looking for a cheap buy it aint here. All the kit has been serviced and/or restored within the last 6 months.
1x Oberheim OB-8 with encore MIDI
This is in as new condition (up until very recently i still had it's cardboard box).
It's on the rlmusic website for £1450 . . I'm tied to that for the moment but should someone want to make an offer i always have the option of pissing of Richard and pulling it from his site!
1x Moog Opus3
This was a complete rebuild/restoration job and has cost a lot more then I'll be able to sell it for . . new piano laquered cabinet, all new sliders and tops . . sounds lush - £500.
1x Korg polysix
probably the best example i have seen/owned . . new battery (no board leak) . . far better sounding then a Prophet 5 (sorry Adam) with those SSM filters - £500.
1x Moog Voyager Signature Edition #86 in cherry with 251/351 rack break outs.
Ok, this may seem steep at £2500 but you can go buy an AE if you just want a Voyager . . . if you factor in the extras you are paying a couple hundred pound more for the early serial.
I also have a Moog Source and Korg 700 which may also be going among some more cheaper stuff but I'll have to put the list together . . there are also some digital rack stuff, mixer, outboard etc.

I wouldn't mind an Opus 3, but I'm really after a Prophet-600. I can only have one or the other unfortunately. The -600 will be better for my live performances, the extra poly voice, and sequencer and lighter weight, compared to the P-5.

Have you played a 600? no, as you would not be saying what you are if you had.
No one in their right mind would buy a 600 if they already owned a Prophet 5 . . not even for a gigging, cheaper machine.
What you should be doing is buying synths that compliment each other . . not buying into the whole family of one manufacturer, you end up with a pallette of similar sounds.
Either a polysix or Opus3 would suite your setup much better, both those instruments would offer you a different timbre . . What you don't have at the moment in your setup is a string/ensamble pad sound . . everything you have is quite harsh or brassy.

I would add "Gritty" to that description, but I'm sure many by now will know of my dislike of the Seq Circs' sound....... *stir*
Buy a Mellotron and be done with it.
Forget the gigging.
You KNOW it makes sense.

Yea . . . i have owned just about every SCi keyboard over the last 20 years and pretty much sold them after a few months . . they don't do it for me either - weak and limited sound compared to a memorymoog, CS60-80 or even an Obi.
And I think you will find that most pro musicians circa 1978 that took onboard the Prophet 5 moved to better sounding keyboards as they became available . . even the T8, which should have been the business was let down by the cheap voice architecture (nice keyboard though).
I liked the VS through . . shame that came at the end.

Oooh! that reminds me!
Just been offered a bargain CS-60. One owner, never gigged in original carton. Must follow that up soon! By all accounts most synth dealers break them for unobtainable parts to refurbish '80s.....

Yes, poor old CS50's and 60's get broken up for the bits and pieces as the internals are the same accross the range . . . just more voice cards in an 80.
You'll love the 60 . . . i just sold mine (big shame), very expressive, tactile and a strangely unique sexy sound.
