While I can't justify purchasing an offline editor/librarian, I certainly applaud the effort in making it available. As with all addictions, some people simply must have everything related to Moog.. not to mention the practicality of the program itself. At least we have the option for it instead of wanting a product that would never have otherwise existed.

Because the synth itself is pretty expensive? Compare it to Korgs new R3 where you get a software editior for free when you buy it.
It's not the synth that is expensive, it's the C3 key. I heard that Moog charges 1250 $ for the C3 key while all other keys, case electronics, potis, wheels etc are already included for free, now you even want an additional editor ?

I don't need an editor but could need some midi and audio cables, a keyboard stand, a sequencer or a 50 $ cash refund and am a little disappointed that Moog doesn't bundle one of these items with their pretty expensive instrument ;)

Somebody stated in this tread that the japanese manufacturers has got a lot of more cash than Moog and therefor being able to give away editors for free with the product. That made me change my view.
Still I don't think the comparisons you make with additional midi/audio cables and a keyboard stand is fair. The C3 key thing was pretty silly.

Moog is still giving us great things with the OS updates for free. I'm
I have nothing more to add here. I won't buy this editor anyway.

ummmm....I'm pretty sure his entire post was a facetious remark.....

lots of posts on the message-board should be taken with a grain of salt....ESPECIALLY if half of the post is already absurdly sarcastic....

no offense....

I finally checked out the editor in demo mode. I think it's pretty cool. Great interface and simple to use.

A little pricey but I'll definitely consider it.

I have the LP/EL - it is a fine tool.

Some little errors are in the software - I already wrote it to Derek but no answer...

There is a little mix-up at the edit window / advanced preset / left cornerd (buttom) functions / for the second destination the leds are not working correctly - you always have to switch between two windows for its refreshing(using WIN version - on MAC v. nothing happens no led appears) and the mod 5 and mod 6 are mixed up with its functions (s-h is on mod src 5 and noise is on 6 on the LP)...

I've also asked if and when some new updates will appear and how to get it - for free, on their web page etc...

Also there is a link for the little phatty E L on soundtowers' web page but is linked to their Voyager page with the V Editor Lib. and nothing for the little phatty was found on their web page exept the help-pdf and the link to "nowhere" (Voyager page)...

Nope, you haven't answered my email and there was no stress to do. I only posted here because I also thought that maybe there is something wrong with your mailbox.

Now everything is answered and I will be happy if things are working fine.

thank you very much

Hi
The update/fix is finished. We have worked the last month finishing all outstanding updates/fixes on our software with requests or confirmed bug reports. Monday we are recompiling and repacking all for a clean start to the new year.

Thanks for your patience.

Best for the New Year!

errors in LP EL version 1.1.0

Post by waxdoctor » Sat Jan 26, 2008 9:09 am

hello again

some errors I discovered in ver. 1.1.0 MAC

- I can't load .mlp bank files back to LP EL / little phatty

- the octave switches/keys are not working correctly - you can not change the octave on the little phatty via editing on E L - also the indicator lamps/led are indicating nothing (only the first setting)

- in advanced preset section(edit) the led for mod dest2 are not indicating anything

- also in advanced preset section(edit) the mod src 5 and mod src 6 is still in the reverse order --> on the LP: s-h / filter is on mod src 5 and noise / osc2 is on mod src 6 - at the E L: it is still in the reverse order

that's all at the beginning

thy and bye bye

I'm having a problem loading .lpl files in my librarian. The .mlp files load fine but the .lpl files don't load. I've emailed the software company at 3 different addresses, including the two listen in this thread with no response...
