There is no 106. I have that from a pretty reliable source.
NovaMusic has the 107's on preorder for $339US today.

from Jared White's NAMM journal thingy...
MoogerFooger MF-107 Freq Box
Our much anticipated new MoogerFooger has finally arrived! Designed principally as a stand-alone pedal effect for guitarists, the '107 is sure to find plenty of action with all electronic musicians. It's like nothing you've ever heard! Basically, you can think of the Freq Box as an audio modulated oscillator, where your input signal controls the frequency of an internal oscillator. A hard sync feature can make the internal oscillator sound like it's following the input, and the built-in envelope follower, FM and other controls can be used to take your sound into another dimension. The Freq Box is an extreme effect, in the same way that a distortion device or ring modulator can really mess with your signal. It's so unique, it's hard to put it into words - so you'll have to visit your local music dealer and check it out for yourself. The Freq Box should be available in the spring.
sweet. I want to see the back of it though.

now the question still remains: does it scale 1v/oct exponentially?

So does this mean no practical applications for the 107 to be used with the Voyager?

no way, this will be a great add on to a synth--- an extra, full featured VCO and possibly (I'm hoping) CV out to control any synth from your guitar.

I don't think that the pitch is ever converted to a DC control voltage in the 107 so there won't be a p-to-CV out. An internal oscillator tracks the frequency of the input signal then the main oscillator syncs to this frequency. So there is never really a "CV" since it uses hard (or soft?) sync.
...at least I think so, MOOG YOU NEED TO CLEAR THIS UP FOR US!

Hi Folks -
Specs for theFreqBox are now online...
The "pitch tracking" you guys are hearing in the demo is the VCO hard synced to the input - the VCO is retriggered at the frequency of the input...
Lots of things can be done w/ the FreqBox!!!

That's cool, I wouldn't even think that an oscillator would sync to something as harmonically rich as a guitar signal. Great idea!

I went to Novamusik site and the 107 is for $329. Where did you find the $299 price?

You've got to email them and let them know you're interested in the 107 and they'll let you know in a return email that they're having a $299 pre-order sale...at least that's how it worked for me.
