hmmm... the way they describe editing the parameters, it sounds a lot like a Source... interesting.. except with 4 control knobs (sectionally based).
Interesting... I wonder if this will be easy to use....

wow they did a good job of trying to please everyone!
well that depends on price i guess, but as far as specs go, i'm happy
sure it doesn't have much in the way of cv outputs (do you think they'll have an output expander for this!) but most of the things they left out can be added to it, like noise.
didn't see a switch to leave the vca running all the time (called hold on rolands) that could be problematic.
they definitly designed this to go with the cp 251!
can't wait to see it

It has an audio input so i would hope it's possible to leave the vca running.

They may name it in tribute to Dr. Moog as they say:
"it was Bob's vision to bring this product to market."
Maybe they will call it the Moog RAM. This works in two ways:
1)RAM = Robert Arthur Moog
2)RAM = memory as in memory of Dr. Moog

yeah the whole 4 knob thing is gonna be awesome, i think it will perfectly bind editing and playing from memory patches.
i don't know about you but the two have always been like different countries to me, i'm always so much more "in the zone" or whatever when working from the panel, working from stored patches feels like going into someones house and rearranging all their furniture when they're on holiday, whereas working from the panel is like building your own house.
For On/Off type switches like Osc. Sync, the LEDs are On when that parameter is on or Off when the parameter is off.
i was hoping it would have big square illuminated buttons for this, but not those frosty electribe ones, you know the ones that look like they belong on the tardis console. but LEDs are cool
it's a shame you can't turn off the keyboard tracking on VCO 2.
but at least you can use it as a mod source
it's strange that so many synths don't let you control the VCA with the LFO
but it has volume CV in so you can use the foogers LFOs for this, if you have one, but hey that's what we all wanted right?:
a synth that skimps on a few features (to cut cost) that you can get by adding foogers (or similar)
I hope it will have an output expander like the voyager
Just a small box with outputs for the keyboard, envelopes, LFO and VCO output for CV use
BTW you could use the mf 101 to get an output of the VCA EG for CV use

YAY ! We can finally discuss it in more detail..
Has anyone seen the movie "Southlander" .. There is an imaginary synth called the Moletron that looks kinda like a cloud and kinda like a marshmallow. The First time I saw the new synth, its impressive shape and design reminded me of the Moletron, but much cooler lookin' ..
And less like a marshmallow cloud of course !
The design will be the icing on the cake Kids!
The only thing that was kept from us "secrecy holders" was the actual name.
So thats the only thing I am speculating right now. I would love to see it called The Prodigy 2, because spec wise it is very very close. The Prodigy was my first Moog, and to own a new prodigy would be awesome !!! Hell' I'm gonna get it no matter what it's called...

It looks like that wood piece at the background has a cut out for the connectors. That black panel resting on it would fit right behind that wood piece when assembled.
