My membrane is still perfect bit the know doesn't spin like it used to. Its like it fell off track or something. It requires several turns to get from 1-100. I forgot about how sweet it used to be till I read that earlier post. andy good solutions???
Thanks!

The number of rotations needed to make the knob go from 1-99 depends on the settings. Right now, for the life of me, I can't remember what makes it work with fewer turns vs. more turns. I use my Source for about 10 different sounds, and the presets are set up for them so I don't have to tweak much.
I noticed this odd little trait quite a while ago, and it definitely has to do with what you are doing with the Source--it is not broken.
Damn, if I can't remember why that happens until I get home and play around with it.

off topic:
does anyone happen to have or know where i can get a case for my source? i've seen those crappy (and expensive) ones on ebay and i went to a few thrift stores looking for a hard case suitcase big enough....still nothing. If anyone has suggestions i would be greatly appreciative to hear them.

if you switch the filter tracking from off to full, the wheel will have finer control over the cutoff and it will seem as if it'd react sluggish.
which i actually understand as a feature not a bug.

Thank you!

I appreciate you finally responding.
I remember the difference in action that you are refering to. But I also know that mine IS broken. It thuds when you spin the wheel, and doesn't spin for more than 3 seconds. It used to spin for more than 10 seconds.. something is wrong with mine. I don't think it got dropped or bumped, Just one day it was messed up. Maybe I am alone with this problem, But thanks for taking the time!

could still be a mechanical problem.
you could easily release the screws on the bottom, and tilt the upper half of the source upwards, to check if something is obstructing the wheel.
if you release the right bottom screws, the keyboard will stay on the bottom half.
cheers,
