Yes, yes, Greg, help him out! I'm interested to see what all got updated, too! I'm assuming some changes happened between 2010 3.6 and 2016 3.6?

Actually, I got a OS 3.6 with a date of 12/10/10 today from Moog Music tech support which they stated was not a beta. That made sense to me as the version I had was a 12/06/10 version of 3.6. I am sure my XL shipped with that 3.6 version. Its not anywhere on their website as far as I know. I was working with tech support to resolve an "EDIT" button failure on my XL
Also, I updated my XL with the May, 2016 version with the instructions provided using SysEx librarian on my Mac. Worked like a charm. No issues. Complete success!

No, when there's no ERROR message after power on everything is fine.
The Voyager always checks the OS files A,C and D after power on and if there would be a wrong bit you would see an error after power on. The reason to start with bank B has to do with the LCD contrast and it's better to start with bank B (this is the boot system).
Have fun,
Rudi

The update file order is:
1) go to the MASTER page "Receive Update" and send bank "B".
2) then if the Voyager asks for bank "D" leave "NO" and press ENTER.
3) in the MASTER menu go to "Receive Update" and send bank "A".
4) now when the Voyager asks for bank "C" select "YES" and ENTER and
send bank "C" to the Voyager. Do the same thing with bank "D".
Just let the Voyager tell you what it wants. In step 2, you can say yes when it asks for bank D, in my experience it displays "checksum error". But no harm done. Then afterwards, step through the panel and master menus, I think it is pretty clear what each option does. 3.6 seems solid and the name 'beta' shouldn't scare you off.

Hi all, I try to update from 3.5 to 3.6 according to the "how to" explanations. Unfortunately I get an error message that the system upload failed (system exclusive transfer has failed). The system asks for bank A to be uploaded, when I try to upload a different one (e.g. B) there is a error message, that the wrong bank was selected. The system requests specifically bank A.
I´m on a Mac and I use Sysex Librarian.
Any help is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris

Many thanks.

Hi Chris,
is it still this message "system exclusive transfer has failed" or a different message?

Hi Rudi,
yes, it is still the same message (system exclusive transfer has failed) and it always asks for the bank A first.

Hi Chris,
is there a message like "the system has to be reloaded" or so after power on?
BTW, where are you living?
