I read that the Nord Lead series feels good to Minimoog users. Since you've had both synths for several months now, could you truly concur with that notion? I once borrowed a Nord Lead 2r, but that was years ago. It would be tough to compare it with the Voyager, now, but I do remember all the editing fun that I had.

Yes, The Nord Lead 3 just rocks.. The Nord doesn't touch the Voyager when it comes to Bass. I don't know what does.. But you purchase the Nord for easy programming, polyphonic keys, and great pads.

On another note, I got my libarian working.. Took back the motu Midi express and got the Motu time piece. I do not recommend the midi express to anyone using windows.. It doesn't work with the moog librarian software. Perhaps the xt version works fine for others though..

I've currently got a Nord L2 between my Voyager and an A6 (on a VERY strong stand!). It is a good synth, but in the aforementioned company, it just doesn't feel right.

I'm not saying that I could tell it from the A6 on every patch - it is good, but it just isn't great.

There's an allegedly mint A6 on eBay in Doncaster, UK. For £999 BIN, it is the best bedfellow a Voyager could ask for. I've even bid a cheeky £700 myself, even though I can't justify two A6s. Then again I might.

I know the A6 gets a bit of stick here and there, but it's the only bright young thing I've played that will REALLY keep a Voyager warm. Sure, my voyager LOOKS more comfortable on my Polymoog, but it looks AND plays better on top of my A6 (even with that dreadfully red Nord in the middle ).

Give the A6 a go, it's my second favourite synth !

Well I dont know what kinda music you are making, but for ambient stuff that I am doing, the Nord Lead 3 works great with my moog on tracks.

the A6 is nice.. Wish I could try one out for a weekend..

Hey everybody! I'm new here and just had to throw my hat into the ring on this one. Some one mentioned it earlier but my Jupiter 6 keeps my Voyager very satisfied. Add the Europa upgrade to the Jup and you have a true analog beast with full midi functionality. Programmed right, the Jup 6 will peel the paint off your walls and the buzz/warm/evolving pads are stunning. I also have the Micron which IMHO is a great all arounder for the price! The OBXa or even a cheap e-bay Matrix 1000 do great pads as well.

If that's the case, then I recommend looking into a Roland JX-10 synthesizer, or an MKS-70 synth module. These two beasts can be both 6- and 12-voice polyphonic, and either will easily keep the Voyager in good company.

I should know. My JX-10 is my primary analog polyphonic, and it sounds nice, next to my Voyager.
