Inspiring work, John. I think I heard a bit from the "collateral damage" video, right?

ebo, it is SO refreshing to hear someone making actual MUSIC with modular synthesizers instead of the obnoxious noise that people seem so enthralled by. I love all your stuff man. Keep on churning out the great tunes!

Hey guys, this is a cross-post from the similar Little/Slim Phatty Music thread:
Here's a few short (mainly test jam) recordings using my 3x Phatty Poly-chain, with some dual CP-251 action helping out at times.
Other gear used: J&D 5-String Bass, ESP LTD B-206 6-String Bass, Gallien Krueger 1001RB-II Bass Head, Korg SV-1 88 Piano, Korg KP3 Kaoss Pad (as a drum machine) & Presonus FP-10 firewire recording interface. I've also since acquired a MF-102 and MF-104M, which will start making an appearance on future recordings.

I'm going to record an industrial rock album over the next year or so - actual full length songs that have quite a different feel to these jams.
P.S. There's some awesome tracks on this thread!
David.

Really well done, John! I found it very stimulating to the senses, like a great sci-fi soundtrack. Toward the end, there's a clip of a guy groaning and muttering... What it that? I found that disturbing, in an eerily intriguing way. I'm interested.
Thanks so much, Kenneth!

I'm glad you liked it!
The guy moaning/ranting/yelling is just a clip i found on Pond5.com I added it together with the clip of the guy saying "Operator" and it was one part of three of the "phone theme" sections.
I hate to derail anyone's concept of what the piece means, since it's fun to make up your own interpretation of what the story is that goes with my videos but to me:
The first part was the answering machine at the beginning. To me it's the voice of a departed loved one, trying to say goodbye moments after passing on but unable to.
The second part with the operator and garbled voice. Initially I was thinking this was someone trying to contact the beyond (asking for the operator/praying) but only getting nonsense that couldn't be understood as a response. After listening to it a few times though, it could also be either the person who has passed on trying to place a phone call to a loved one but no longer being able to communicate clearly and the operator can't understand him OR it could be a distraught person trying to call family after a person has just died in front of them but I don't care for this interpretation so much.
The third and last "phone" part is implying to both the dead and the living that communications are now permanently severed and to move on.

I've just seen your "Embrace The Rain" video. This really stunned me. The harmonics of the rain sequences remind me of film scores...
