PS: Pre DX-7 digital when they still made nice wood enclosures, high price tag though.
Holy sh!t!!!!

How is it owning a Synclavier? I would LOVE to try one out someday... Is there anything you can think of that comes close to it's sounds and functions today?

Hey Chinard,

How do you like the Nord G2? I'm a G2 guy myself... just got a G2X from NYC...

Awesome pics btw... judging by your rig and your location, I bet we probably have a mutual british synth friend by the name of Dean....

My whitewash

Post by 52weeks » Tue Jun 02, 2009 7:20 pm

Hi, everybody! I just got my new (to me) Voyager six days ago, and would like to show off a pic my wife took!

Also, if anyone wants to hear what I did with it two days ago, I'd sure appreciate any criticisms you'd like to throw in:

Piano and Bass are not in tune with each other.

I agree, they're just ever so slightly out of tune.

I really like the vocals a lot, they remind me of Ian Curtis from Joy Division.

Thanks for the heads up! I never would have thought of that; I'll confirm by reading other threads, but I'm guessing that's something I'll have to watch out for now with my new synth.

Also, I'm used to hearing "vocals are too muffled/muddy" so that's a huge boost, too; thanks!

Very nice! Also, I love that picture! It looks like the soul is oozing from the Voyager. Very nice, indeed. Great song too, though I pretty much agree that piano and bass are out of tune with each other, just a touch though. Great vocals, as well. A lot better than what I could do, but that's not saying much, I'm afraid.

I am a Nord G2 junkie as well.
One of the greastest synths ever made.
Maybe we can set up an email system so we can extange some of our patches.
This is a "tiny" idea of what I was working on 10 minutes ago. (sorry about pic quality.)

Music can Name the Unnamable and Communicate the Unknowable.

'I am... everything is... changed... they're calling... your face... interwoven... who is...' Patient mumbles inaudibly to a tune (sounds like 'Thanks for the memory).
