Personally I hope Moog is making a profit off of their high shipping fees. I think Moog deserves all the profit they can get since they produce the best gear around.
Hell I just paid $3200.00 for a Voyager, what's an extra $15.25 for shipping on a freaking t-shirt?
Bottom line is, if you don't like Moogs high shipping prices don't order from them.

A Moog
anything is a want and not a need - it still does not justify shipping charges that are well above the industry norm. I love Moog and their products as much as anyone, but if MarbledMoog & Mr. Ardakin wish to voice an opinion regarding shipping prices, this
is the place to do so, and everyone here should be allowed to speak their minds without getting personally insulted for doing so. If anyone here deserves to be spanked for bad attitude or lack of forum etiquette, it should be you.

I can voice my opinion here all I want too.

So true, but you
don't have the right to toss around personal insults. Nobody here does.

So Mr Arkadin suggesting Moog is intentionally ripping people off is not an insult?

Why does it matter if the high shipping fees are justified or not? YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY FROM MOOG PERIOD.

I didn't realize it was discussed already, I only pop in here from time to time. I feel for you UK'ers and other folks who have to pay big bucks to ship from the US. I don't know where the shirts ship from, but if its anywhere near NC where Moog is based, that's less than 500 miles from me, I've never heard of such outrageous shipping costs for something that weighs a few ounces.
I have no problem paying what Moog charges for thier music gear, I have 3 'Foogers (no synth because I'm not a keyboardist, but if I was I would have a Little Phatty at the least). Moog's music gear is top notch. But their shirts aren't some specialty item made of holy threads or something. I just want a shirt made by a company who's products I love and inspire creativity in me, that also look sweet. $15.25 shipping is crazy, there is NO reason for it, and Moog should know better than to do that to their customers. The same people buying Little Phattys, new Minimoogs and 'Foogers are the ones buying these shirts...
Subtronik, knock off the abrasive attitude in this thread. Maybe you have deep pockets to throw money around at anything, but many people don't.

Ha, guy if you have 3 'Foogers then what is $15.25 for something you don't even need?

I had no idea that suggesting alternatives to UPS was "badgering" Moog over their shipping options.
I just didn't buy any t-shirts.
The USPS will deliver the empty boxes to you for nothing.
https://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores ... &langId=-1
$4.95 to ship a t-shirt via Priority Mail.
http://www.usps.com/prices/priority-mail-prices.htm
Then they'll come pick up the package when it's ready to ship.
Imagine that.

If There's a cheaper way to ship Moog gear from Moog, then I'm all for it.

The joke is on you because it's better than even odds Moog will listen and do something different.
Probably sooner than you think.

My problem is when this same old 'high shipping price' gripe comes up it just turns into a bitch fest. I hate seeing people bitch about pricing when all they have to do is not buy. The market place will ultimately be the deciding factor in final pricing.
If Moog changed their t-shirt shipping fee from $15.25 to $5 right now that would be great, but after the last angry thread about this I seriously doubt that's going to happen anytime soon.
Moog knows about the issue, so if anyone really wants a straight answer, email them directly.
If you consider that Moog electronics are astronomically priced, $15.25 isn't a big deal in my opinion.

I agree with Subtronik, even though his antics here in this thread are rather crass. I had no problem paying for the shipping on my Moog hat. You know why? The total cost of the hat after shipping was $31.09. It's the most comfortable hat I have ever worn...except for my suede fedora, which cost $50. I can easily spend $30 on a shirt...even my T's cost $15-$25 each. (I buy specialty video game T-shirts mostly...they are expensive). Does the shipping seem outrageous? Yes. But if you can justify spending $300 or so on a phaser, you can justify paying $35-$40 for a T-shirt...or am I missing something?
