I'd bet that's a bumper, not a handle, and it's positioned to protect the lone pot.
At 47 lbs I hope nobody tries to pick up their Taurus with it.

It's not a handle.
It's a guard against roundhouse kicks, although it is unlikely to hold up against Chuck Norris. Then again, this is a Taurus.
