Hi, thanks v much for the reply. No I did not download that - I downloaded the USB Debug Adapter Reset Utility and the IDE installer from Silicon Labs, do I need to download the Flash programming utilities first? then it should work?

As a mac user I am not familiar with pcs which has been more difficult.

(Great video by the way, bought the de-bugger after watching it)

Feel pretty lost now, have tried using the 'Flash programming utility' as suggested by Cane Creek but I still have the same message coming up along the lines of 'communication could not be established with the specified adapter...' The debugger lights up and everything looks promising but there is no way it will connect it seems. Is there any options for me to try?

Locky have you been intouch with Amos ?

I could print all the instructions here , however i better not as i dont think its something moog want people to do as a standard procedure as im sure they'll be lots of cock ups.

If you havn't already then i suggest you get intouch with Amos as he has a set of instructions you must follow to debug.

When i debugged my Little phatty i didn't install Reset Utility or IDE installer ive never heard of them ? i only installed the Flash programming utilities and that is the only thing i installed on the PC.

Hi Cane Creek, thanks for your help.

I have sent a PM to Amos so hopefully he will be able to help, after reading into it a little more I am wondering if I should have done the update at all via my mac, although there is nothing on the moog site to say macs are incompatible. But when I was in touch with Ryan from moog he said the debugger software only ran on pc so not sure if that means the update should be on pc too.

I really hope I can get it sorted, I had only just got it when I did this :(

I am wondering if there may perhaps be an issue with my debugger? Seems unlikely but odd that it seems to work for everyone else. Especially when my LP had the exact same 'symptoms' as other peoples' too, the blank screen, no sound etc...

Anyway I have contacted Amos so fingers crossed he can shed some light, surely I cannot be the only person to have had this issue...

Thanks again for your help Cane Creek

I posted here about the same problem:
http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=67284

After searching around the forum, it seems to be a standard fault

If anyone has the files, and a USB debug adaptor I could buy, or even borrow in the UK (I'll pay postal fare both ways & a little extra cash if it's a loan), Please let me know.

If you own one of these, you'll know the pain I'm going through!

Many thanks in advance.

Hi gang,

I just had a report that the debug adapter works OK on a MacBook Pro if you run WinXP via Fusion... if that all makes sense to you, then it might be useful info.

Farnell carries the USB Debug adapter, it's their part number debugadptr1-usb ; order code 1186943
