LOL! This thread is making my jealous! I fear I may have to sell my Moog stuffs to pay the bills and do some work on my house. Soooo bummed. Hopefully I don't lose too much money on my babies, if I have to part with them.

When I was in high school, around '91-'93, I bought a Realistic Concertmate for $50 at a pawn shop. Later, the same year, I found a MicroMoog at different pawn shop. They thought it was broken, because no one could get any sound out of it. They gave it to me for $40. It was perfectly fine, the filter cutoff was probably all the way down, or something. After many years of playing them, I sold them both. I sort of wish I still had the Micro.

Just about two years ago, I bought a MultiMoog 'buy it now' for $400. That was a pretty good deal. I didn't really like the sound of it though, although, the key action after-pressure was awesome. I sold it, although I wish I didn't now. I just don't like having too many synths all at once, or maybe I can't afford to.

Also, just after the Multi, maybe a year and a half ago I found someone selling an early serial number '72 or '73 Mini on a synth message board. I bought it for $1000. After a a good cleaning, including the key contacts, I found that it was in nearly perfect condition.

I got my Mini Moog for only $125! No lie! It was in the late 80's /early '90's though. My keybordist friend had purchased it for $175 in the mid '80's and a few years later he was selling it cuz he needed some money really bad and I was hurting too but for a Minimoog i could make a sacrifice!

I also got my Moog parameteric EQ for only $75 from a different friend in the mid '80's!

Thank you freinds!!!!! 8) 8) 8)

I got my Minitmoog last year for $260 which, seemed like an OK deal too. (especially since the seller said it didn't work and when I got it it turned out to be mostly OK! :D )

Bought my second Minimoog in the early 90s for 225 and it was the newer model 12XXX with the heavy brown stain. This was during the beginnings of the grunge era when nobody wanted analog synths or any synths for that matter...I was happy with that purchase and works just fine today. Just needs a cabinet woodgrain exposure makeover...thanks Kevin for showing us whats under that brown paint... 8)
