Has anybody here ever successfully emailed Moog Music?

I've used the tech email auto-sender on the website here, as well as sending emails "manually", and I've never gotten so much as an acknowledgement, or even an auto-respond email from tech support.

Is there a secret unknown email? Because now I've just got no faith at all that anything I email is actually seen by humans.

"I will be happy to look into the possibilities and cost of doing a hardware modification to your unit."

Excellent! I'd be more than happy to pay for this upgrade. Yes, it should've been included on a $3500 synth. But if it means paying the good people at Moog what they need, I'd be interested. Every synth ships with design compromises. If I can take care of this one, then I'm perfectly happy with the voyager.

I mean, it'd still be the second thing i grabbed in a fire, running out of the place (after my wife). But -y'know- as long as I spent this much, I might as well make it perfect.

well i think you would have to request this mod, because i just got my performer back from moog under warantee to fix other problems. and mine does not track the glide to filter.

i sure wish i would have known that it was possible to fix this problem before i sent it in.

please let us know all about that modification (possibility and costs).

For me it would be interesting to get a schematic diagram showing the necessary modifications, because shipping will be too much expensive from Europe.

the filter/glide omission was known for quite some time and i am bit surprised that the matter only came up now. the sos reviewer mentioned it in his voyager review and potential buyers should ask moogmusic to have this fixed prior to ordering their voyagers.

as another person here suggested it's a bit of a pain to use the CP-251's lag feature to remedy this. it would be interesting to have a list of additional modifications that could be done on the voyager even at an additional cost. i would certainly ask for filter-tracking-glide, sawtooth lfo, cv/gate outputs and balanced outputs.

Well, CV/Gate outputs at least can be remedied by throwing more money at it via purchasing the VX351.

Sawtooth LFO doesn't really bother me, but the Filter/Glide bug bothers me more every day.

When this thread was active last month, one forum member (I won't say who right now) posted here saying he had been under some sort of NDA, but was now able to acknowledge the existence of an official fix to the VFC/Portamento problem. I happened to read that post. A few hours later, when checking for new posts, I found that post had been removed. Strange...

Anyone have comments on this?

I'm sure we all would like to find a solution to the glide problem. It would make an already-great synth absolutely stellar.

My guess is thuswise:

Imagine you work for a small company. You find a way to fix a problem, but your boss hasn't had time to review it with his boss, who hasn't had time to contemplate local zoning laws, file an environmental impact statement, and so on.

Now say somebody posts that "hey - this guy knows how to fix it and will do it for every single one of us" in a public forum.

Do you leave it active and incur a massive flood from owners who want the problem fixed, call attention to yourself, and get fired for trying to do the right thing?

Or do you find a way to delete the post?

MC posted that. he had his fixed.
I find it hard to believe that moog wont take care of these problems.
I need to send mine in at some point to have the noise problem
fixed and will have the glide problem fixed when I do even if I have to pay.
I do think it sucks but i have faith moog will come through.

They've got to do it.

It would give an almost-perfect synth that final push to legendary grandeur!
