My LP is run through a TC Electronic M350 processor. The delays are great, but the modulation effects are wimpier than Popeye sans spinach.

I'm actually in the market for a good chorus pedal and pitch shifter pedal. The former is for use with everything in my arsenal (I'm leaning towards the Red Witch Empress chorus; the online samples I've heard have been nothing short of excellent).

The pitch shifter though is for specific use with the LP. There's a cheap'n'nasty pitch shifter on my Alesis mixer's built in effects that is simply amazing for the price - dial it in a fourth or a fifth above the root note and the sound of the LP just blooms. But it suffers from an audio glitch that sounds not unlike a badly looped sample. I'd love to find something that doesn't impose that sort of artifact into the sound, yet which doesn't cost as much as an Eventide processor.

I use an Akai Headrush delay looper - great delay and very playable.

I'm a guitar player, so I've got lots of pedals around to run my Little Phatty through. Some of my faves: anything Moog (104Z is great), ProCo RAT, Line 6 DL-4 and Verbzilla, Alesis Ineko, EHx Big Muff, Z Vex Fuzz Factory.

The ProCo RAT (or turbo rat) is generally my first recommendation for people who are looking to get something like the Little Phatty OVERLOAD sound on their Voyager. Patch it into the mixer out/filter in on the Voyager and you're getting close.

As for evolving sounds out of the LP, my favorite technique is to combine several LFOs and apply them to the LP's filter-CV... then run the LP through a nice gooey delay with lots of feedback.

Here's an example... this is mostly one long "modular-style" drone from the LP, backed by a simple bassline and occasional melodic loop (also from the LP) and a drum loop (microtonic VST):

The source of CV modulation was my Voyager + VX-351... I set up the modulation buses so that Voyager osc.3 was modulating osc.2 was modulating osc.1 and the total modulation combo appeared on the Pedal Bus. Pedal Bus output to the Little Phatty filter CV input, then tweak away...

Amos
THat must be nice being so intimately close to an instrument like that. You know it inside and out and are pretty much authorized to do whatever you want to it lol.

You probably know the Phatty better than anyone aside from others on the design team.

Eric

Nice sounds by the way.

AWESOME!
I haven't heard many electro-house-dance songs using the LP, and this is really nice!

Amos does the sound effects for the Moog Music videos on YouTube as well. Very cool stuff, I agree.

KLON Centaur works very well with my EB, as does the most excellent FoxRox Paradox Flanger. The original Morley Flanger from the early 80's is nice too--- very different from the Paradox. The Morley does huge filter sweeps and also gets a great "hollow" metallic sound.

Somebody in a thread was asking about preamps/DI I have a couple Groove Tube Bricks here that take pedals really well and can be overdriven to sing quite nicely. I like to run an SG > KLON > Brick > into a customized Leslie for great swirling/singing tones ala Warren Haynes.

I don't know if this is pertinent or not, but aside from the Foogers,
I sometimes run my stuff through a ROland CUbe 30 Bass amp for delays, flanges and reverbs. I have a realiztic reverb box that Ive used before. An Electro Harmonix Bass Balls (twin filter /envelope follower).

I also have a DIgitech Gsp Pro rack effects that I haven't used yet because the patch points are deep inside the rack cabinet lol.

My ROland Vs840 has some reverbs, panning and EQ effects that I will scrape if I have to, or if I feel like it.
