While we are on the topic of ebows and magnetic fields and moog guitar (obviously) has any one tried using an ebow on the moog guitar in the mute setting? Id be afraid this would open a supermassive black hole or a tornadocane that has developed cognitive thought!!

Now that would be an interesting experiment...what remains to be seen is someone who is lacking sanity enough to try this with their own Moog Guitar.

'Lacking sanity' as in 'doing roundhouse kicks'?

Sure...why not? Seriously though...putting an e-bow on a Moog Guitar just seems like painting a Rolls Royce with pink house paint Keith Moon style.

The answer is no. Actually, that guy lives down the street from me. I tried to teach him to play "Another One Bites the Dust" and the Barney Miller Theme on balloon bass, and there was just no way. So I encouraged him to get into effects pedals. In fact, I've recorded him through my moogerfoogers a couple of times.

Seriously, this is the 1st thing I thought when I saw the Moog Guitar! Everyone loves Moog synth bass lines, so why not a stringed Moog synth!?! I would pay big money for one.

Absolutely! But only if this technology performs with all midi devices/plugins with the same accuracy as a midi keyboard controller.
The closest thing that I have found is from a company in Australia called Industrial Radio:

I would love to get one, but unfortunately the cost is fairly high.

I'd be interested in a 6-String Bass!

I hope the version will be released - I have been playing bass guitar for over two years and do fairly well. I will certainly make use of it on a regular basis and I take it the version will be popular among other users as well.

If they do make a bass version I hope they put the taurus filter in it. Can you imagine some victor wooten style slap/pop action in mute mode with the envelope follower on!
