Europe isn't the problem; it's the UK. Someone else in the UK owns but does not use the Moog/Minimoog trademarks and he won't budge.

OMG! I think that is soo funny.. What a poor sport that guy is.. That is such a shitty thing to do. So this guy grabs the name and trys to capitalize on it? Who in thier right mind would buy a minimoog from some BS company in the UK?

Yeah, and AFAIK he never sold a "Welsh" Minimoog to anyone here in the US. None of the US mags (EM, Keyboard) ever got one for review. It never appeared at any trade show in the US.

Hi, I have one of the Walnut AE's, It's really beautiful, better looking than the wife, and makes me much happier! - Just kidding, she knew I really wanted the Walnut AE and was really supportive when I bankrupted us to get it! Roger at Big City Music is a great guy, really helpful and puts himself out for you. Highly recommended.

This was some welsh Twonk that did his best to cash in making fakes, and is now making a few quid flogging Teeshirts and presumably hoping Bob Moog will make him rich with huge cash offer. Personaly, I hope he loses out big style.

I have fully branded Moog Voyager here in the UK.

In the unlikely event I was ever to appear on TOTP with it, would I be forced to remove/cover up the logos?

When Moog went bust in the 80's i think the Moog trademark came up for grabs and a guy based in Wales UK bought the rights to the trademark in Britain. He brought out replica minimoogs for a while which were fairly accurate reproductions and he proposed other new models as well.

The problem has been that for reasons that i do not fully understand Moogmusic U.S. has not been able to aquire back the right to their name for sales in UK territory from the Welsh bloke, even though he is no longer building synths.

So,no equipment can be sold with the Moog logo on in the UK,although it is fine to import one.It just can't have been purchased from a UK dealer (Turnkey). Thats the story as far as i understand,please correct me if i'm wrong!As a result,UK versions have to be branded By Bob Moog rather than the Moog logo.

That really blows for UK moog buyers..that one stubborn wannabe can cause such a situation..can moog still send you the free sticker? or is that contraband too. I purchased a Cherrywood Anniversary Voyager from Nova Musik, 1 of 15 made, I really wanted a Cherrywood Sig Edition but didn't have the $$ at the time they came out, I'm glad i had to wait cause i think the backlit voyager is outrageous.

I got the sticker. Actually bought my signature edition from RL Music.

Your Sig is second hand though, isn't Boeing? This would make it okay to buy from a UK dealer as it would, originally, have been bought from the US.
