I now have both the Muse and the One.

The One has always been the synth I would keep if you could only have one. Three timbres which allow three different settings (arp, sequences, detached from keyboard). The settings go into the hundreds. I think the keyboard is one of the best of non MPE keyboards. I also love the XYZ pad.

So far the muse reminds me a lot of the Matriarch but with multiple voices.

That being said, I do not see any sense in buying a MUSE. You can easily check out the VSTi for some time or buy it for 49USD (!!!), and then get your hands on a hardware MUSE. I highly doubt you would miss anything. If the same is true even for a Moog One owner (almost, see above), it must be even more true for anyopne interested in the MUSE.

That makes me want to get one even more. I love the rawness of my Matriarch and have wished for a long time to have something with that sound in a real polyphonic instrument. (I see the Matriarch as a compact Moog Modular system, which is great in its own right but not a poly.)

Oh I'm late Well, Cherry Audio, just did an amazing job. But I kept my MoogOne, and now that 1.8.1 is out, I'm more than happy about my decision: I can actually use it in productions, not only as an expensive toy/joy.
We're all tired about hardware/software debates, aren't we. For me personally, out of all comparisons I did, Cherry vs. Memory Moog was one of the very few where I couldn't tell and feel the difference when playing both over a master keyboard in blind test. Moog One is a different beast, I admit. But I was upset about the Moog policy on that flagship, and now I'm back with the new fantastic update!
