I don't even own a Sub 37 and I have seen it happen. I was playing with one at Knobcon, and it locked up.
The Moog employee nearby came over and said, "Oh, I think it locked up, you just have to turn it off and back on again."

I hope they can fix the issue at some point.

Was the Moog by itself or was it connected to anything else via MIDI? Just curious.

If it's not already updated, the Sub 37 runs best with the latest Firmware OS and latest Factory Presets. Many of the issues that caused those hangups have been addressed by those two updates.

I am pretty sure it was not hooked up to anything through midi.
I would also assume it had the latest firmware, as this was
in September of this year, unless there have been updates since then.
I wouldn't really know.

It's hard saying how long it's been since that unit actually left the Moog factory; and few stores go through the hassles of researching and updating firmware updates for all the electronic instruments they have in stock.

If you try that one again, or another one, just push the GLOBAL button and use the UP arrow until you see the page with the Firmware rev. (Usually, you'll get there with one press.)

I guess the MIDI buffer could get stuck in a loop and maybe overun the buffer (or summink), if it's MIDI related?

Thankfully have never had this problem when using MIDI or not. Fingers crossed.
