Yes, Serge handed the business over to Rex Probe and it became Sound Transform Systems around the early 90's. They (SMMS and STS) have been hand crafting systems continuously since 1974.

I think Doepfer's A100 modular came out in 1995 and Dot.com's modular came out in 2000.

I stand corrected. Going by the AH archives:
Doepfer: 1995
ModCan: 1996
MOTM: 1997
DotCom: 1998 (announced on AH in 2000)
I thought Doepfer was 2001 because that was the first NAMM show I had seen them.
