Just as an FYI, I received an email earlier this week from Moog saying the editor will be completed in the next 8 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed. 
If there is a generic one, that is worth a damn, I haven't seen it. Please feel free to point me to it. Too many attempts have focused on being and editor as well. More than once I've thought about creating a generic one but always come to the conclusion that I'd rather be making music during my down time than writing more code as I code for a living. I do have several ideas tucked away in case I decide to pick it up when I retire, ASAP.
