same thing would happen if moog put out this new 'more affordable monosynth' that everyone keeps talking about. i think you'd see the resale prices of prodigys, rogues, micros, maybe even mg-1's drop quite a bit. of course some people would still want the old moogs for vintage/heritage reasons, but moog would be wise to grab a piece of the moog-demand that is clearly out here by supplying an alternative. will they? CAN they? It wouldn't be a $600 dollar synth. I'm thinking $1400 for a new 'prodigy-style' moog.

I'd pay that, providing it was a little better than the prodigy:
-2 ADSRs rather than ADS
-noise source
-pre-filter effects loop
-audio input
-CV options
-aftertouch
