Lovely , looking forward as it is a fantastic instrument and having a vst to control it is the cherry on the cake

Hey, all you guys with Mac OSX and this problem where the editor crashes when you set up the MIDI preferences:
please PM me your email address! The programmer would like to contact you.
Thanks!

hello, is there any news on the editor update?
Im using windows 7. Ableton Live 9 (latest update).
the editor doesnt work, just says hardware disconnected.
Standalone is unpredictable, some times it works, sometimes it doesnt.
Would really like to start working on some moog projects in Live......

Hows it going Amos buddy. ???
Originally coped the Sub Phat because it was marketed as a midi compatible/controllable analogue synth,
so far it freezes logic X "every time" I connect it, and has a stuck note type symptom that requires turning off the unit, not what I dropped a 1000 for
Midi is in my work flow, would love to mess the beautiful filter and mod's while its playing.
About to trade it in man, a functional midi editor would stop me from doing so.
At least update us on the progress.
Cheers
Goodluck

It's probably not trivial to find, because everything works with Logic Pro X for me.

Would you recommend not updating to the latest osx and latest logic?

no its fine in logic 10.0.5. the problem i had was i changed the 1st preset on the sub and it reset all the preferences to nothing so it kept crashing logic now i've put the factory preset back it works fine. i would recommend updating logic.

Hey,
Just wondering if there's been any progress on the SubPhatty Editor issues. I know there were a couple different ones - I'm asking specifically about the Hardware Disconnected issue. I can't send or receive any presets. Browsing and editing patches in the Editor works just fine, but I've never been able to get past the Hardware Disconnected message.
Thanks!

We are still waiting for a fixed editor (Hardware disconnected) and it seems Moog moves on to another synth, which is practically a better version of one that hasn't even been around for a year! What's going on??

Happening over here also, mavericks 10.9.1, ableton live 9.1.1 64 bit, macbook pro retina 15
I'm having the hanging when clicking prefs and freezing Live session, i've tried raising tickets with Ableton also, no dice.
Here's my shot with Moog and will calling back the store I brought the unit from, I love the sound of things beast, the VST option is what drew me to the purchase and it's not worked correctly and the unit doesn't meet my expectations, it can't deliver as advertised.
Moog there has to be an answer, a firmware update....something!

(English is not my main language.)
I am a sub phatty owner. I have the same problems.
Let me tell you how I feel.
You are old girlfriend of a guy called Moog. He used to be a good guy to you.
He answered your stupid questions with kindness and treated you like a princess because he wanted to
make love. You let him what he wanted to do because he was a decent man. You know what?
He is a different man a year later. He does not give a damn even if you are sick cuz he had what he wanted.
He treats you like old furniture because you do not have any leverage. You are doomed.
He wants to move on to a new girl. He has what new girl wants (called Sub 37).
And, you and I know what will happen to a new girl a year later. I do not want to be the girl anymore.

Hi everyone, I am here and I am very sympathetic to your troubles.
I'm sorry I did not chime in sooner.
All along, my plan has been that we would sort this problem out during development of the Minitaur editor, which is based on the same framework as the Sub Phatty editor... and then immediately we can build a new Sub Phatty editor that is fixed.
Unfortunately it has taken longer than I imagined to complete the Minitaur editor... and every delay to that project has also delayed the fix for Sub Phatty editor.
I will try to get a new build of Sub Phatty editor this coming week (first week of March). That is my promise to you all.
As soon as I have something, I'll email everyone on my list who is waiting to try it out... and if it works for them we will make an update publicly available. Again, I'm very sorry for the trouble you've had so far, and I am working to make it better.
Kind regards,
Amos

To be clear, it is not the case that Moog is focused on Sub37 now and ignoring Sub Phatty. That's not true.
Actually I've been focused on Minitaur, which is older than Sub Phatty.
The problem is, there's only one of me, and only one programmer working on the editors...
so, we are doing what we can, but everybody is waiting, and waiting is never a happy thing.
I'm sorry. We will get there.
