Doesn't the ribbon controller just add to the keyboard voltage? It seems like if you let go, it should return to that key's voltage.

no, it holds the voltage wherever your finger last touched on the ribbon. not ideal for live performance. i would love it if it worked more like a pitch bend.

That's odd behavior. Some of the other ribbons that I've seen either have an option to HOLD or return to 0 when you let go.
I had a question about it actually; is it 'known' by the OS or does it just show up at the patch point?

i think it just shows up at the patch point. there are no options related to the patch panel in the os.
i have a doepfer a-198 in my euro system and it has a toggle switch to hold the voltage. i guess that's what is missing from the voyager's ribbon controller.

That's a shame. What about the 2nd LFO (which is Midi sync'able I think?) Is it free running, can it sync with the OS's LFO and have a divider or is it detached?

the lfo is midi syncable. the rate jack controls the division.
