Do you know of anyone who has modded their ProSoloist with sliders in order to make their own patches? I could imagine it would be a great synth...

I have never heard of anyone modding a PS with sliders. That would be an interesting project. Too many other things on my plate at the moment.

In the ProSoloist service manual, at least one of the circuits has a patent number proudly displayed.
It's overall a very complex design and far more involved than many other synths that were larger.

Steve Walsh of Kansas used an Arp Pro Soloist, While Kerry Livgren played all Mini Moog leads In the early days of the band. Picture of Keyboard set up is at 6:27. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81mCgm8i-0Y Also Thijs Van Leer of Focus used one on Hamburger Concerto.Great stuff!
