Sounds like a relatively easy factory mod to offer. :)
Sounds like a very expensive mod to offer, considering the number of buyers that would be willing to pay for it ... I guess.

...very true.. the organ builders most often "cut their own" out of the stock wood, then apply the veneer tops... it's a work of art, to be sure. They last forever and age nicely...

Maybe not cheap, but I imagine if they can get a reliable source for the inverted boards swapping them out with the existing one might not be all that tough, maybe an hour of work. ::shrug::

Absolutely. I really, really hope this happens.

Woot woot!!!!

Another idea for LP improvement. Reading through the thread now, some of my ideas were okay some were eahhh so-so at best. I think this one would be hot. It should be possible through softwear and could open up the LP to an area of sound that it has not been super well suited, pads.

Patch morph. Set the destination patch and the amount of time/ beats for the transition to occur and all the parameters would slowly change from one patch to another. I'm not sure if the processor could handle all parameters at once so maybe it would require some settings to be the same on both the source and the destination patch.

edit: If the computer based patch editor could generate a midi sequence of CCs to drop into a sequencer to create the morph, that would be almost as nice. And I might even buy it then.

And with that, have the capability to morph back and forth between patches using the mod wheel!

Really cool idea!

+ a 2nd modulation slot to be able to use the aftertouch to anything... :)

This pretty much sums it up for me as well. A second LFO is my main wish, and aftertouch is a close second. Add a 3rd oscillator, and you would have a machine which would come very close to the Voyager's sonics, while still being lighter, more portable and more affordable.

This was sort of mentioned in the Taurus forum...

But being able to split the keyboard, so that one section plays the LP normally, and the other sends midi out. And you can choose where the split point is.

This would be amazing! Also, being able to split the keyboard so part of it sends MIDI would be most useful...for those who use MIDI extensively. :D

Would love this!

Here's a wacky thought:

Being able to split the KB to play different patches between the two splits.

Like psuedo-bi-timbral action!

I think they'd probably need a faster chip in the LP somewhere to be able to handle switching between the two at any decent tempo, but could be fun.

Otherwise, they could make a Polyanalog and give us bitimbrality that way.

Try playing and switching through presets really quick, it creates weird (and sometimes cool) artifacts, I imagine that's what would happen if they tried to implement that

I gave my LP a minor heart attack doing that the other day, froze up for 30 seconds or so before it'd refresh to the new patch from cruising through others.

I could do this more slowly and time compress accordingly through, could be fun...

Hi CTRLSHFT,

It's possible that the freezing you experienced was do to an issue with the LP's current OS.

If you scroll too quickly past a patch that uses LFO as the Arp Clock you'll freeze (as described).

The fix is to change those patches to use something other than LFO for the Arp's Clock.

I think this is most or all of the patches that do so:

4, 6, 11, 14, 18, 33, 40, 44, 46, 66, 82.

I don't have my LP with me right now but I think this list is correct.
