I do not know. I know that what is needed is a 50k or 100k Linear Taper pot.jimtheswede wrote:Thanks everyone for the replies! I thought maybe starting a new thread about this, but anyway, I've got a extra Roland EV-5 pedal that I don't use at the moment. Is it compatible to use with the CP-251?
I've searched and there is an old thread about this question was never answered. Anyone use the EV-5 with the CP-251? Probably will get a Ring Mod, but will wait until I get more comfortable using the CP-251 with the MiniBrute. Dark Energy, and maybe include my SP.
Thanks!

Unfamiliar with these things and how they work? All an expression pedal is is a potentiometer connected to a secondary pot that controls the range of the primary pot. Unfortunately, Roland, being the bastards they are, does not list the parameters or the taper of the pot they use in the EV-5. You can try it, but don't be upset if it doesn't work. The worst thing that can happen testing the pedal with Moog gear is...nothing. As in, no response.jimtheswede wrote:Hey, thanks for the info., but the Roland site, nor the manual doesn't mention anything about connecting to a CV device. Don't think much of the pedal but I have it here....just wondering?
Thanks again Roy! The EV-5 does connect using the TRS plug. All I've ever used it for is as expression pedal for Midi. Wasn't sure about CV. And oh yeah, I've downloaded the CP-251 manual and read through it many times!!Roy wrote:I have an EV-5 foot controller and it does work with the CP-251, but it has been some time since I've used it so I can't give you anything more than that. You will need TRS cables for mutlislot patches though, something to do with a + and - voltage send: there is more detail on this in the CP-251 manual you can download from the website.
Send some CV outs into the mixer of the CP-251, then take the output of the mixer and send it to the LFO of the 251, take the output of the LFO and send it to the Filter in of the Minibrute.EwaldK wrote:Anyone to care to share some tips on how to combine the CP-251 and Minibrute. I tried some things but do not hear much going on...
