MP-201 pitch sequence

Just messing around with sequencing the model D from Logic 9. Got the gates work, but not sure how sequence note changes. I thought about using CC to control pitch, but there are only 127 values, not sure if that will get correct pitches. WIll the mp output cv based on midi note value? Or do you have to use CC?
