Post by spinboy » Fri Apr 27, 2012 11:22 am

been looking for an old one, a precise CAD drawing, or something. yes i know about synthfool. can't help. i have minimoog 2023 (williamsville) which needs a back panel, otherwise the tuning is not stable, my cat can nose a power rail, etc.

I'm wondering, how can someone loose such a relatively big piece of aluminum ?

I can only give you the exact external measurements on mine.

27-7/8" width, 6-1/4" back and sides height, 3-3/8" sides depth. The top lip depth is only 1-1/2" from the back with a slightly curved edge where the back and that top lip meet. The cover itself is made of 1/32" thick aluminum sheeting.

As for holding screws holes, there are 18 in all. 4 on each sides, 5 on the top lip, 5 along the bottom back edge

There are four raised screws with nylon bushings for the four different back panel viewing angles adjustments, which are in the center and vertically spaced as such, from the bottom edge going up:
7/8"
2-1/4"
4"
5-11/16".

edit: there are of course 11 holes of 1/4" diameter each, for trimpots adjustments access. Just tell me if you need their exact locations...

Hope this helps.

I have full technical drawings in CAD formats for both styles of back panels (older and newer VCO trims.)
Problem is, I don't have the dough to have them made.
With that said, I provided them recently to a friend who said he was going to have some made.
But that was only a couple of days ago. Through me anyway, you're going to have to wait.
Sorry.

FWIW the back panel on my early RA Moog Minimoog is a simple aluminum sheet with the sides folded up, like a box.
