Koma Elektronik-Moogerlike SVF and Gate/delay!!!
It looks very interesting!
http://www.koma-elektronik.com/
The first is Gate/Analog Delay with interesting options. The delay time is short, but I think it could be used also as flanger and chorus.
It has Feedback loop send/return. I'm not sure what is gate fore... some bit crushing can be easy, and it has also sensor-light that you can patch to whatever...
Second is State Variable Filter with LP out, BP out and HP out. Vactrols??? Yeah! There is onboard 10 step sequencer, you can also patch to whatever...It also have sensor for foot control or hand control.
I like In/Outs... Much easier to look at and patch.
Price is what I also like!
And they look like funny foogers!

It looks like these are the eurorack version of MoogerFoogers, complete with 1/8" jacks. Looks like a PITA to get these to interface with anything 1/4"...I've never seen a guitar cable with a 1/8 connector on one end, and adaptors can break.

Oh, c'mon… Have you even looked at the pictures? These are: 1) standalone, and 2) use 1/4" jacks.Voltor07 wrote:It looks like these are the eurorack version of MoogerFoogers, complete with 1/8" jacks. I DID look at the pics...they looked like 1/8" jacks to me. I'm just a dumb American though, so if I am wrong I will admit it. And what I meant by eurorack version of MoogerFoogers, I thought that they only had 1/8" jacks to coincide with the eurorack format, much like the MoogerFoogers can be used with MOTM style modules. Seeing how I was wrong on both parts, I will admit defeat and humbly STFU.

Re: Koma Elektronik-Moogerlike SVF and Gate/delay!!!
I've been following Koma since they were first mentioned on Synthtopia or Matrixsynth some time ago, so I remembered the 1/4" jacks and the standalone, MoogerFoogerish nature from the first time I visited their page – still, I've checked now again just to be sureVoltor07 wrote:I DID look at the pics...they looked like 1/8" jacks to me.
Anyway, the units look very interesting (as do theirs prices). The only thing that's lacking is a proper demo – all videos available seem a bit cryptic to me. That didn't stop me from considering the Koma filter, but a used Murf at an unbeatable price has finally won me over

You can listen to sound samples on the bottom of the page.
Nice sounds.
My interest is mostly on HPF, sequencer and sensor control.
One very useful thing is you can attenuate ins/outs on the back of the pedals.
I just need HPF badly!

From the demos the Bd101 sounds A LOT like the Cluster Flux. But no midi and only 3 lfo waveforms. The motion controller looks really cool though.

Dude, RE: The 1/4" -> 1/8" inch... two words: "Soldering iron"Voltor07 wrote:I DID look at the pics...they looked like 1/8" jacks to me. One idea: Patch panel.
Hugs.

Re: Koma Elektronik-Moogerlike SVF and Gate/delay!!!
Indeed. Though I wouldn't use a RadioShack iron for anything. I like my 25 watt Weller just fine for projects like that, and my 40 watt Weller for bigger stuff, or RoHS compliance. A patch panel is a great idea, but upon closer inspection, it would seem that these MF lookalikes do indeed have 1/4 inch jacks.cliffman wrote:

Re: Koma Elektronik-Moogerlike SVF and Gate/delay!!!
There a lot of MF clones popping up up. These are kind cool, but such weird combinations. And tiny featureless sequencers just seem useless to me.
Re: Koma Elektronik-Moogerlike SVF and Gate/delay!!!
For me it is just perfect... I just need a simple sequencer on the fly.
What I do allot is while I'm playing guitar I use LPF for sub bass tones with self osc. I do that by using adsr (MP) to open the Mix and trigger S&H on CP which controls the frequency of LPF.
A little sequencer would be really useful to make a musical pattern on the fly.
And I wood like to se a state variable filter in my chain!

Re: Koma Elektronik-Moogerlike SVF and Gate/delay!!!
The way they were using the sequencer to control the filter in one of the demos reminded me very much of a Murf effect. Bothe units with their dual functionalities of gate/delay and filter/sequencer and CV in/outs would expand your creative posssibilities quite a bit I would think...and that's not even adressing the inclusion of the sensor control.
