Foogers live

Post by Pantherairsoft » Sun Feb 06, 2011 8:04 am

Few quick snippets from a fooger user here in the UK…

First gig with my live Dubstep/Breakbeat/Drum & Bass 2-piece project… these vids are basically the intro and outro to the first track… similar sounds based around the MF-101 and MP-201 which work fantastic… pushing the bass from pure sub to whistles and squeals…

There are a few effects before it, but its all made possible by the foogers… Hope you like…

Hey mate, that sounds pretty cool! :) Do you guys have any plans to record something together? I'm sure you must have plenty of ideas flying around. Must be honest though, drums sounded a bit too harsh for my ears, but thats just personal taste.

What other units are you running with the foogers? I can recognize the Whammy and perhaps a Boss TU-2/3 from the second clip.

Keep it up, look forward to hearing more 8)

Thanks bud!

We hit the studio this weekend to start on our first EP so watch this space!

As for the board... It's a little complex, but goes something like this...

BASS -> Digitech Whammy IV ->
Boss LS-2 Line Selector ->

(Channel 1) -
EHX BassMicroSynth (modded to control cutoff via expression) -
- Back to LS-2.

(Channel 2) -
Boss OC-2 Octave ->
Marbass Super Synth ->
Devi Ever Soda Meiser ->
Myrtle Effects Corvid Fuzz ->
3Leaf Audio Groove Regulator ->
Moogerfooger MF-101 -> (Controlled by MP-201)
EBS Unichorus ->
Guyatone Phase Shifter ->
Moogerfooger MF-102 -> (Controlled by MP-201)
- Back to LS-2 ->

Boss DD-20 Delay ->
Boss SL-20 Slicer ->
Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor -> AMP

So basically Whammy effects both channels and they meet again at the delay. Allowing me to do a swell with the LPF, switch channels and as it delays off into the distance, swell with the microsynth... Allowing them to overlap and give the impression of 2 effects.

I'm currentl using a Roscoe Century Standard Fretless 6 bass into an EBD HD350 & EBS Neoline 212 to get the sound.

Awesome set-up, very impressive board. It takes alot of crazy circuitry to make modern music. I love it.

The MP-201 runs off its own power supply (as it's AC not DC - Thanks Moog!! :)) and everything else runs off a GigRig Generator/Modular Power Supply (special little adapters for each of the reverse polarity/high voltage/high draw/pedals that require isolation).

Entire board runs noise free off 2 mains sockets!

No problem! The GigRig stuff is amazing and Dan @ The GigRig offers top notch after service. He pretty much tailors the system to your set up. He'll mod adapter and power supplies as needs be for strange pedals that don't play ball with others. Great stuff.

It's made my entire setup soooooooooooo much easier!

Time for another update I think!!

Took a decent camera to the studio today so I though I'd take some snaps that look a little sharper than those off my iPhone. Before anyone says it - yes, I know the Polytune Mini is upside down!

Hey dude,

The Slicer went to SiBob over on Basschat. It was a great pedal but I found I coup create similar patterns with my Moogerfoogers and Sample&hol LFO's... And then I bought the Eventide Pitchfactor!
