mp-201 structural concern?

Post by dan thacker » Mon Oct 24, 2011 2:35 pm

i just purchased mp 201, and i noticed two faint lines going down each side, corresponding with the beginning of angle in the chassis.i have tried to see same lines on google images, but can't seem to .can anyone tell me if this is cause for concern,or is it some common occurence in the fabrication process.i would appreciate any feedback.thanks.

I got them on mine, too. They're perfectly normal for this kind of construction, nothing to worry about!

Oh, in that case, you're fine - try sticking a mike in your mouth, and sample the result.

i was thinking of buying a used korg es-1,but as far as microphones go,i'll have to do a bit more research.also, putting one in my mouth probably wouldn't yield any sample-worthy results.
