Multi-Moogerfooger power supply

Post by ClintAu » Thu Jun 16, 2011 5:05 am

It would be great if there was a power supply that could power multiple Moogerfoogers. It's kind of ridiculous to cart around a whole bunch of wall-warts.

I'm not sure from an electrical engineering perspective where it is possible or wise, but sure would be handy!

Yes, there have been quite a few members asking about this in the past. Apparently, noise becomes a problem when powering multiple MFs from a single power supply.

How much power do the Foogers draw as opposed to the original Moog modules?

Surely noise wouldn't be an issue if it were properly designed, right?

Voodoo labs pedal power 2 plus. No noise, powers every moogerfooger at once and has an extra 3 prong outlet for plugging in whatever you want. Highly recommended.

Gigrig modular power supply - http://www.thegigrig.com/acatalog/PS_Mo ... ystem.html

The only system I know that will power them as well a everything else! I know - my liv set up is around 20 effects including 4 MoogerFoogers, everything powered noise free by the gigrig.

Set back to MoogerFoogers is you need a Gigrig virtual battery (to isolate the pedal) AND a line6 adapter (to change plug size & polarity) for EACH fooger.

Again, expensive but amazing.

Daniel, the man behind gigrig is a top bloke and goes the extra mile to get the set right for each person. Even personally modded an adapter for a pedal I had that wouldn't play ball... And didn't charge me a penny extra for the work.

Thanks for the tips, everyone - I'll check out some of these third-party power supplies.

So...I started with one Moogerfooger and now I have a whole Moog arsenal. So much so that I've pretty much gone from guitar obsession to synths. I've relocated the MFs from the Pedaltrain board, where they were being juiced by the Pedal Power Plus. Now, I'm trying to build a rack-based, all-in-one poly synth beast. I'm thinking about building something based off this to supply the MFs once I have a suitable enclosure:

Would one be able to power 5 Moogerfoogers + 1 MP-201 with the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2?

definitely not.

check out the Cioks DC10.....you'd have to combine some of the outlets, but it'll power about 4 MFs.

I'd have to go with their "Pussy Power"

The LED clit is just way too awesome.

I'd have to agree! I almost got one instead of the DC10....

This is very good news! So all I need is the Vodoo Labs Power Pedal 2 plus 5 of these:

Right?
