MF-105M NOT a replacement for MF-105? HELP?

Has anyone tried to duplicate the patterns of the original MF-105 on the MF-105M? anyone? I've about given up.

Is there nothing in common with the two? I can't get MF-105 and MF-105M to sound the same with the same patterns playing.
Is there calibration needed for the filters, or a firmware update?

I've even programmed in the MF-105 patterns from the manual into the pattern editor and no go. Still nowhere close.

ideas? I won't sell my MF-105 until I am confident that the MF-105M is really an MF-105 with extra features, and not just an entirely different unit with completely different circuitry.

surf to http://www.myspace.com/tempustry to hear my MF-105 in 'The space between'. I was hoping to use the MF-105M to guarantee the pattern would sync exactly at the right step, as well as, get the same tonality in the pattern. so far no go.

Is it possible for you to patch a static CV offset to the Sweep input to bring the bands closer to you original sound?

I guess with resonant filters a little difference will sound like a lot. Or is it the envelope settings?

at this point I'm hoping Moog can provide some more details as to the difference or simularity between the pedals. Is each pedal going to sound different? did I get a bad pedal, is it out of tolerance?

Have you downloaded the manual for the Pattern Editor? There are a few adjustable parameters that may be causing the sound difference but I am guessing it's due to the envelope duration of your programmed patterns. Under "Advanced Parameters" you can hopefully adjust the Envelope Scale to match the sound of your MF-105 (these options pop up when you scroll over the upper section of the MIDI Murf Pattern Editor).

From the manual:

"Advanced Parameters
LFO RATE and ENV SCALE always have an effect on the sound. LFO RATE controls the speed of the
MuRF's internal LFO, and ENV SCALE compresses or expands the duration of the filter envelopes, independent of the pattern rate.
STACCATO mode controls how the MIDI MuRF behaves when you play MIDI notes in Triggered mode (MIDI notes 48-60). If Staccato Mode is turned ON, then the MuRF will sound only for as long as notes are held down; that is, if you release one of these MIDI notes while its filter envelope is still active, the envelope will be brought abruptly to zero and the note will be cut off early. This allows for short, sharp sequences with precise articulation.
TRIPLETS on/off changes the MIDI clock division options when the MIDI MuRF is synchronized to MIDI clock. Normally, the available clock divisions are as listed in the MIDI MuRF manual, including several "triplet" time bases. In some cases you may want to change the clock divisions "live" using the Rate knob or another controller, and the triplet settings could throw your groove off of the downbeat. If you turn off TRIPLETS, these clock divisions are removed from the list, and only evenly-divisible clock divisions will be selected."
