Yeah, I hope the wheels are tough...
They look awesome though, as does the entire instrument.
Badassery will ensue.
Time to shop for a bass rig worthy of such beef.

Even if the wheels aren't too great, one could still use expression pedals, right?

Yes, you could use 4 expression pedals (or 1 MP-201 Multi-Pedal) to control the volume, filter, envelope gates and pitch.
