I want a Voyager Old School

Post by Bryan T » Fri Dec 11, 2009 9:19 pm

It is odd how my preferences have changed. A year ago, I thought doing without presets or MIDI would be a serious handicap. Now, I see the knobs/switches and lack of menus on the Old School as a plus. If I did need MIDI, then adding an MP-201 seems like a great solution.

Something to work towards, I guess.

Absolutely. On both counts. The OS is a very satisfying hands on instrument to play and to own. And the sound, I mean......... I stop here before I write volumes.

I wanted one as soon as they announced the release of the OS. Unfortunately, I had just bought an LP a few months before, so I couldn't justify the purchase of one then. Then they abruptly quit making them, though Nova Musik has a couple on e-bay right now, and Sweetwater as a couple as well, according to demon dan. Can't afford one now either, though, because of the Taurus III! :x

I want one too!

I really wanna get one of the whitewashed ones from novamusik since that way it'll match my tele :-3

Honestly, a lack of presets dont bother me at all since I always spend more time playing with knobs than I do keys on all synths but the DX7!

Yep, the NovaMusik sale is a sweet deal. I would trade in my LP for a whitewash OS in heartbeat if I had the money to spend, but I don't.

By my calculations you're only $300 short:

LP = $800
Rogue = $500
Evolver = $300

= $1,600
