Introducing The Moog Guitar Model E1

Post by moogmusic » Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:27 pm

Since its introduction at the Summer NAMM tradeshow in 2008, the Moog Guitar has received numerous industry honors including Guitar Player Magazine's 2009 Reader's Choice Award, Electronic Musician Magazine's 2009 Editor's Choice Award, 2008 Summer NAMM "Best In Show" honors, a 2008 “Best of What’s New Award” from Popular Science magazine and a 2009 Mix Foundation TEC Award nomination. More importantly, it has inspired players to new creative heights, and opened the door to totally new forms of expression with a guitar.

Introducing the next step in the evolution of The Moog Guitar: The Model E1.

The Model E1 is the production model of The Moog Guitar. It uses the same innovative electronics and pick-ups as the original Paul Vo Collector Edition, with some exciting new changes. It’s available in three new finishes; Butterscotch, Candy Red and Black, and now sports chrome hardware, a solid alder body and a choice of fixed or tremolo bridges.

So it does contain the filter? THe sweetwater catalog didn't specify.

I like the fixed bridge option.

Saving my pennies.

Yup. You can see/hear it in the videos. Two videos of the E1 are on YouTube: A GOOD one from Moog, and another one from SweetWater.

Some shops have them already.

Here's one at Fat Tone Guitars: http://www.fattoneguitars.com/Moog_Guit ... /moo12.htm

(I've never dealt with them, I just saw the ad on another site)

The word I have on the one I ordered is, "the E1s were delayed because of production of one of the knobs. They said they are in fact shipping them out THIS WEEK."

Still waiting. Every week I call Sweetwater, and every week they tell me 'next week'.

Now two weeks ago i bought a Moog guitar model E1.It was my dream to purchase a Moog guitar of my own money and now my dream comes true.Really Moog guitar E1 is one of the greatest musical instrument that Moog Music had invented. The E1 has also been described as delivering an incredibly intimate guitar playing experience that connects guitarists directly to the source of the sound, the strings. Now i am playing this guitar and feels like i am in the world of music. Its tunes are so melodious that i can't explain. :D  .
