Organ or diy synth

Post by jeepo » Tue Oct 27, 2009 2:43 am

Hello everybody, i have an old yamaha organ, which over the past two years has been losing functionality at an alarming rate, it has reached a point where the organ is no longer playable, (when i play more than one note the volume disappears, then fades back in, lower keyboard does not work at all) but is filled with at least 50 oscillators (which i assume are not linear). I want to know if you feel my efforts would be better spent trying to repair the organ, or gutting it and creating a synth, or two, or twelve, after sampling the organ, of course.
