Here's a new recording. Very long. Over 9 minutes, in fact. Why, you ask? Because I'm testing various homemade cables to see if I can match the impedance of the Mac Book with that of the LP. So far, I almost like the results I got tonight, so I'm getting closer. Also, I'm learning more and more about the Garage Band recording levels, and how those work. Bad bad playing, but I'm happy with how the recording of this garbage went.

That was definitely not my kind of music. But I enjoyed it anyway, it was really well done! And I am pretty fastidious ...

thats kinda funny. this is not my type of music either, but i have to say it was fun to make. i usually play progressive rock (check it at www.theincredibleheatmachine.com) or make drum and bass.

thanks for the compliment and warm welcome to the Moog forum.

The first couple songs on the player use the Phatty for bass and some other neat effects.
Desert Train has a brilliant combination of sounds! I hear you like Spacemen 3 ;-)

Amos wrote:Hi HB3; nice solo!

"Caspian" is one of my favorite patches I've written; just so soulful. I thought it sounded like something Prince might have used back in the day, so I named it Caspian, after Prince Caspian from the C.S. Lewis novels. Now you know. :)

Cheers,

Amos
Dear Amos,

could you upload that patch for me (LPTE owner)?

I can upload it for you if Amos doesn't reply.

I posted all that material on youtube -- www.youtube.com/thehb3channel

Lots and lots of LP. I used the new Taurus patches, for example, on "Close But No Cigar."

I've actually been considering getting a Voyager and selling the LP but one of my main worries is losing the "Caspian" patch.

Here's a solo I just recorded for the new Shadow Circus album on my LP:

It's got quite a bit of effects on it as well...

the majority of synth sounds are courtesy of the Little Phatty!
all recorded using Logic and further editing on Ableton Live

90% of all sounds were sampled from the Little Phatty: http://soundcloud.com/infraklang/sonolo ... ember-2009 :)

I made a remix for The Crystal Method remix contest on Indaba music. I used the Little Phatty for the bass and the crazy "spaceship" sounds throughout (thanks to my CP-251). I hope you enjoy it.
