I check it because I dont have a straight up link to the forum.

You know I wouldn't be shocked to see a Moog Std. Guitar. I don't see why you have to devote all of your resources strictly to building an Uber quality guitar without testing the technology in a standard body style first.

I also don't see why you can't have both versions coming out of the same factory.

Im not complaining, Im just saying its a possibillity.

You mean selling a super-premium instrument as well as a more affordable instrument with fewer bells-and-whistles? Naw, Moog'd never do that...

... Oh... waitaminnit.

Stop making fun of the LP! It is STILL a superior instrument. Just not when compared to the Voyager. I know you're just joking BTW. Me too.

Hey, I love my Phatty! And my Moog synth, too!

Seriously, I think Moog's High/Low strategy is well thought out. Voyagers sell Phatties, but Phatties don't cut into the Voyager market. It'd be nice if they could do that with the guitar or -- I tremble to even contemplate the possibility -- a polysynth. [Not that I expect one any more than I expect Natalie Portman to return my calls... but a boy can dream.]

My MF-101 led to more Moogers

My Moogers led to my LPTE

My LPTE led to my Voyager OS

Now I want a Mooger Fooger 16-step sequencer (or 8 that is chainable to a 2nd one)

Pfffftttt

Dreaming again I guess.

The modulars you speak of should BE the 8x10 pictures of you...well, just the background at least. Or maybe, they'd look better as a backdrop in an 8x10 of me. Or forget the pictures, and build the modular into one whole wall of the studio. Dang it, now you've got ME started!

Unless you have an OS in your posession.
Then when they are totally scarce you can probably get several thousand for them, just like the Ol Etherwave Pro.

THe OS is totally analogue, no MIDI, not a digital speck in there (aside for one board that scans the keys and thats it).

THe Voyager is all analogue as well, except it has MIDI, 896 available slots of patch memory, functions as an extreme MIDI controller as every key pot wheel and (almost every) button serve as a MIDI Function that can be exported to a computer and recalled with the right software.

In addition to that, there is a touchpad.

The Voyager also has a menu system that will allow for programmable sources and destinations, pot papping, the abillity to change from a 4, 3, 2, to a 1 pole filter. It will also transpose the keyboard up or down, can change the keyboard note priority and Will wash your car, paint your fence, paint your house and learn to fight in a tournament.

The Voyager OS has some modulation routings not available to the Voyager.

In my speculation, if you bought the two on the same day, Id be willing to bet that the operating system of the Performer and such editions would not outlast the pure analogue nature of the OS, as no upgrades or software will have to be loaded or maintained.

Its purely speculative though as a uders forum for Voyager owners will always exist in some form.

Other than that they have the same sound engine design. One just lacks digital implemtntation.

Both great in their own right. Id get one cause they will be collectors items now.

namm 2009

i was there today

no taurus mockup...no surprise polysynths or foogers

a small stage for performances i didn't stick around for

prominently displayed was the moog guitar, the new cv etherwave, a couple of voyagers, voyager OS's, LP's and all the foogers.

not a huge booth (like fender or behringer 8) ), and no hot babes you can take pics with like in the dean guitars booth....but it was near the bathrooms and amos was there.

i was slightly disappointed, but my spirits did rise when i saw the dean girls
